well thats unfortunate but on the bright side, it was only a telefunken.

Sorry if I bother you, it's for discarding the backlight, and to close the tv again and assemble the panel. If with the panel not connected it turns on the backlight, do we rule out the backlight as a failure? despite the fact that with the multimeter in continuity, a small light comes out in a led between the negative of the led and the chassis of the tv. On the other hand, I would doubt the panel. the panel has the tcon integrated. I know the 12v was coming to the fuse. I don't know what tests to do, or if there is something else to doubt. Let's see if someone can help. Thank you very much in advance

when dismounting i let the receiver go into the frame. I have installed it, I connect the tv without a panel and the leds work perfectly. so I think you have to rule out the leds. I don't know if it could be a short circuit in the panel.

update!!! I have disassembled the panel, and I have used the multimeter to measure each unit led in the diode scale. they all emit a little light, so they are fine. however, one of them emits that little light when you put the clamps between the negative and the chassis of the tv. I discovered it by chance, the light is dimmer. can it mean that it is communicated? do i do some other test? Thank you

Thanks everyone, I'm going to wait for other leds to arrive and close another TV, and open this one. I already tell the solution. a greeting

I appreciate the answer, but I don't want to be changing pieces without meaning. That was the first thing I thought, but I would like to make sure of the result. It is a TV that does not have great value

    Ok. Poder supply: 17IPS72
    Main : 17MB130S

if, as you say, the sideburns are not marked. I made some measurements that I put in previous messages, but if you tell me specific measurements I will put them. Thanks in advance

can you post some good clear straight on pictures of each board and one of the whole back as to see how everything is connected.

update. I tried to update firmware, but the usb wouldn't boot. I turned on the TV again and... it started to play when I changed the channel. it changes channels and it can be heard... from what I get that it is the backlight... it is very difficult to see the image... the same thing the panel is darker. I think it's going to be the backlight. Does anyone have their opinion?

ok sorry, I have seen that it is the firmware, so I imagine that it is by usb. but I don't know if it will work with a generic from vestel or if I have to look for a specific one from telefunken. Thank you

    by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Samsung UE49KS7000SXXH - fast clicking sound in standby mode
    by B0r1s
    PSU - BN44-00878A

    Symptoms:

The TV turned itself off, and I haven't been able to turn it back on. The standby voltage was unstable and lower than it should be.
A weak clicking sound was coming from the transformer.

    Video with clicking sound:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAduhjNtqCA

    Progress:

After the transformer, I measured four Schottky diodes. DM862C and DM864C diodes readings were 003 in both directions. After detaching them from the circuit and measuring them, DM864C was the shorted one. These Schottky diodes are SB550.I...

Toshiba 49U5863DB Vestel 17MB130S, blank screen, no image, sound ok.
    by nos_feratu
    Hi everybody,

As per title says, I have an Toshiba D-LED TV set 49U5863DB made on Vestel backbone: 17MB130S motherboard, 17IPS72 power supply and VES490QNDS-2D-U12 chassis which has backlight but no image is displayed. Even so if is hooked up to a input source, sound coming up okay, picture still missing regardless the input source. There is a bit of remote interaction as you can turn on and off but that's pretty much it, there is no control on volume. What I've done so far: because there is no blinking and the TV is booting up fine, I assumed the power supply and mainboard are...

Have backlight and sound. no LCD image.
    • main board has integrated T-Con
    • main board T-Con has LCD DCDC/PMIC RT6950GQW QFN68 package. Richtek chip. Can't find datasheet. Chip generates VADD (10.44V), VGH (~28V), VGL (~-14.5V)
    • RT6950 pin 18-19 (clockwise) appeared to be bridged. Unlikely from my probing, looks like ball squeezage so it probably got hot
    • Cleaned up bridging. Pin 17 is VGL (-14V) Pin 20 is VGH (28V). Pin 18 (I think 19 too) jumps between VGL and VGH voltage
