    Samsung UN65KS8500F

    Hey all,
I cant get my TV to turn on properly. It has power, the red light is there and solid but when I press the power button, the screen looks like its about to turn on and then it goes black. Then without touching anything, the TV looks like it is power cycling, repeating this process of partially turning on and then off. I even walked away for an hour and it continued to do this the entire time.

I've tried holding the power button down but that doesn't do anything. I've tried unplugging from wall and using different outlets but when I plug it back in (has power) the same process repeats when I try to turn it on.

I contacted Samsung but they couldn't tell me anything other than I'll have to create a service ticket for it and pay close to what a new TV costs to repair it.

    Any ideas?

I added a video (zip) hopefully you can view it of what's going on.

unhook cable from powerboard to mainboard, leave it off, plug power cable back into powerboard, see if backlights come on and stay on.

TBH I'm not entirely sure what you mean with your instructions.
But yes it has the One Connect box.

ok, I don't think you can fix this issue without taking the back off and doing some testing, might get lucky and see something obvious, otherwise will need at least a multimeter to do some basic testing, if you want to give it a go, post some good clear straight on pictures of each board and one of the whole back as to see how everything is connected.

It can be a main board problem (bad standby software..), i don't know this model, maybe also bad panel's boards.. less probable bad soldering on CPU or secondary processors (bad i2c comunication).. i think if you aren't familiar with TV repairs, is better to try a replacement main board, this is my first bet (after making the backlight test)..
post front/rear photos of power board.. have you got a capacitor tester?

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                Assuming...

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
                by PantherDave
                Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

                by mrtek
                Hi

Picked up another TV. Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA. No power and no standBy led on. Removed back cover and:
                Main fuse = OK
Back light LED = OK. Power them with aux power source
                LED output = OK 156V
I do get 12 V DC out of the power supply going to the digital section but no 5V or 3.3V. PS_on voltage is only 1.8V. I have looked everywhere on the PCB , I could not find i reference for 5V output.
Also removed connections to panel, speakers and remote but no luck. One strange thing is that even with the LED power supply working, backlight LED do not turn on...

                Samsung UE75MU7009TXZG Endless Power Cycle

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help I might get here

My Samsung TV is about 4 years old. The exact model number is UE75MU7009TXZG.
About half a year ago I started seeing occasional green frames pop up while watching movies. I mean literally green frames. Not the image turning green, but the entire screen turning green for a split second. This happened maybe once or twice during a 2 hour movie. So no big deal, but clearly something was not quite right.

Since a few days, the TV won't turn...
