Adapting a samsung panel to Vestel 17MB211

Hi, I have a telefunken tv with a broken panel (VES315WNDA-2d-n12). The tv has a 17mb211 board.
Since I had a samsung with a good panel (df320agh-r1) I try to adapt this to the telefunken.

Pinout was almost the same (the only thing I have to move the connect on the 17mb211 according to the image below ... from double lvds to wxga fcc).

Panel is working bad badly. Color is wrong ... image was flip (I was able to correct this playing with ptf.ptf file ... b8HFlip = 1 b8VFlip = 1 to be precise ).

Does any of you have any experience with vestel board and ptf.ptf file parameters?

    I attach also the ptf.ptf file ..

I didn't spot any difference but flip parameters. Am I right?

to me, looking at the image, it seems as if there aer not the full range of colors, like when you setting pc video card to 8 bit or 16.

actually this problem looks like a lvds socket problem. I tried the panel software on the Samsung panel and it worked without any problems.

              VES315WNDA-2d-n12 = CN16
              Samsung HD = CN15

CN14 should not be used this chassis

Probably you are right. I move the connector a couple of week ago so I am not sure ... anyway right now it's at cn15

You mean I should recheck cable and connectors?

If so, I guess it could be some problem with the tx pins

clock is improbable since I have a picture .... but one of the tx line could impair some specific bit in the frame if it's not working or malfunctioning.

I didn't find the datasheet for the samsung panel I am trying to adapt to the vestel, but I find this one below I suspect have the same pinout

                      https://datasheetspdf.com/pdf-file/9...g/LTA320AN01/1

This is a picture of the connector of my panel

So, as I said, it has the same pinout of the board (CN15) but it was mirrored.

Ok, I solved. It was the connector.
First thing I asked to myselft "why everything is reddish" ... so in the samsung pdf
i posted above I checked "what if red is stuck" ... and so tx0 has to be 1 all the time .... and so I checked with my multimeter and the two line were shorted together (a little bridge under the connector not visible from above). Anyway I changed the connector completely (the old one was in bad condition after a couple of soldering/desoldering) and now everything if fine.

                          Anyway, Thanks for the help.

Just to sum it up if everybody else want to try to adapt a samsung panel to this
vestel board: yes, it's possibile but be careful with the pinout since it's mirrored.

SAMSUNG UN50TU8000F rebooting, backlight ok. No 12v to panel boards.
                              by triplefour
TV flashes backlight then reboots over and over. no image. Client said it used to have image for a bit before rebooting. Got worse over time.

                              tcon is built into mainboard.
Only one cable goes to panel boards.
there is a cable from one panel board to the other that links them.
cost cutting measure that results in us having harder time to diagnose.
removing the link to the second panel board allows TV to stay on with stable backlight but no image.
used cut off tape method to mask 1 maybe 2 pins on the side of the cable that goes to that second panel board....

Samsung UN65TU8000 - Panel Issue [ hole in ribbon cable ]
                              by NWArkGuy
Well, I will be the first to admit that I screwed up...

In attempting to replace the backlight in a UN65TU8000, I made a hole through one of the ribbon cables between the board that runs along the bottom of the back of the TV and the panel. This lead to a between a 1/4 to 1/2 inch vertical stripe running the full height of the image.

I don't have the experience; personally, to solder a bridging wire for the paths that were cut. So, I have been on the hunt for other Samsung TV's of similar size.

I have 2 that I have found and have in my possession. ...

I came across a 50inch TU8000 that wouldnt start up properly (blinking stand-by light, backlights would cycle on and off).

When i opened it up and removed the power to the mainboard the backlights powered up and everything looked uniform.
When reconnected the mainboard but disconnected the flex cable to the panel i heard the TV startup with the intro sound.

Later I checked for shorts on the panel PCB boards but could not find anything.
When I took a look with the FLIR i noticed the 2 resistors...

                              Hello,

I was given this Samsung GU50TU8079U that would power cycle after a couple seconds, sometimes a few minutes. The screen would turned cloudy dark with the backlight still lit and then the sytem would restart.
Its one of the newer screwless Samsung models that I read a lot about panel failures here. It does not have a sperate T-CON board, just one ribon from the mainboard to the panel board and a U-shaped ribbon cable connecting the other half.
I went through the usual diagnostics:
unplugged the mainboard -> tv stayed on
                              removed the U-Shape robbon ->...
