being a vizio e, i wouldnt be surprised if the panel was bad, try unhook one side of the tcon ribbon to panel, turn on tv, see what if anything on display, then do the other side, ALWAYS do plug and unplug of cables with tv unplugged from power, to avoid any problems.

sorry to write bad news.. you probably damaged the panel (screen ) when you take it apart... hopefully not.. but you can disconnect one ribbon cable between the T-CON and the panel at time and turn on see if you will have half screen displayed,
another possibility could happen... you damaged the ribbon cable as they are old enough and dried out easily to bracken the contact pins ( take them out and inspect them carefully with good light source and loop )Leave a comment:

Vizio E70-C3 issue
Hi new to this forum. Also not very well versed in modern electronic circuits but well versed vintage vacuum tube electronics I'm owner/operator of www.nosvalves.com I appreciate any insight you folks my have on this TV problem.
Anyway I've owned this TV for 6, 7 or 8 years? It started losing back light LED strips until the picture was getting dark over about 40% of the screen. I checked online and found a full set of led strips for $82 shipped so thought why not give it a whirl. Watched a couple YouTube how to videos. Ended up not being to hard but it was tedious.. the bad part is once done I fired it up all the led lit so I put it back together hung it on the wall hooked all the sources.. it again was obvious the led strips all lit up but it never boots to the "V" Vizio logo. It seems the LCD is inoperable now. I took it back down checked and triple checked all the connections.
So I went to checking all the voltages on cable sockets of the power supply board. See 3 photos for results. 24Vs are 2+ volts high, 12V are slightly up. Tcon volts not present. Some voltage present that are not specified on the board.
Any clue what might be the problem?

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Failure Symptom
No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.
Where is the short?
Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Hello, I'm working on a Vizio m601d-a3 with a backlight issue that I am having a difficulty diagnosing it. As it sits, the tv powers on, displays the Vizio symbol and with nothing hooked up it will then display no signal but you can only see half of the screen. I know it's a back light issue because the picture is there without light behind it, as I can see it by doing a light test. I've taken off the paneling and done a visual inspection. If I disconnect the tcon ribbon cable to the affected side then the entire half of the screen goes away. I've checked voltages at the LED driver from the main... -
Got this TV free. Guy said it tries to turn on and doesn't. I haven't seen this specific issue before but shown in video. Any way to test the screen to rule it out on these Vizio? Or anyone seen this issue before?

Hi everyone. First new thread here. I picked up a TV on the side of the road. It appears to function correctly with the exception of an image issue I'm unable to describe. I've searched for “double picture” and “double image” all over the web and all I get is repair videos for when the picture is blurry and the connections are getting interference between the display panels and the t-con board. I believe this is a t-con board issue, but I haven't found anything telling me conclusively that this is where my issue is. I'd appreciate any assistance you can provide. I live a pretty busy life...
