Make sure you have no shorts between legs of chip. You also might want to go through and read all the Gm1- all Gm test points on t-con in numbered order.I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.Comment

Ok I'll have a look into the thing you call "reflowing the ic". No shorts are between legs of chip already checked, there is contact everywhere. I already went through all Gm points and everything seemed fine just that the last one showed 0 voltage which was weird to me and I don't know if it should be like that.Comment

Maybe I measured it wrong, but yes all had voltage in descending order except the last one, ill check again and try to reflow it on wednesday or at the weekendComment

Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same... -
I’m working on a Samsung tv for my son. When I brought it home the left side of the screen was dim, right side ok. I’ve replaced the LED edge strips, main board and now the power board. The only difference is that the dim side has switched from left to right. Is there something else I should be looking at? I’ve also replaced the ground tape (Faraday tape?) from the LCD screen to the chassis. I probably have a week left on returning the parts.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...
The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...05-26-2024, 12:05 AM -
Samsung UN55J6200AFXZA Splash Screen Comes up, goes out, screen flashes one time and then tv won't turn off.
No picture. No sound that I can tell. Backlights are on and have been checked. Flashlight test no image on screen. I replaced the Eprom chip hoping that was the problem but nothing changed.

Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...
