So I picked up a 32" Sony KV-32TS36 for free and the first thing I did after ensuring it worked (I was given it with a note saying it ran with a light tint of yellow) was take the back off and dust it out. Compared to my older 27" Sony, in this one all the boards are modular and could be removed which made dusting a lot easier.
The problem is now that it is all back together I find myself with one spare cable. Two wires, white and gray, almost a foot long and the same connector on both ends. I never stopped to see where everything plugs in as I assumed all the connectors were different sizes. The only place I can find where there is a connector with nothing plugged into it is on the tuner board (both pins are ground) and on the main logic board (one pin is ground, the other is not and is marked "VIDEO PAL"). I'm not going to just plug it in and see what happens as the last thing I want to do is blow the boards. Any ideas or is it just a spare cable with no use?
Also, is there any way to remove or reduce the tint? The guns are almost 20 years old so I'm sure a bit more voltage might help.
