    Samsung UE50KU6072U - Backlights working, black screen

    Hey guys

    I got this TV from my friend and he said that one day he was trying to power it on it was just dead.
    I did open the back of the TV and check the boards and cable connections and everything seems ok (no popped caps or anything visible).
    I tried to turn it on few times and when I plug it in it flashes "Smart TV" logo and goes dark for about 20 seconds (no backlight yet) and after that the backlights are lit but no picture and didn't give any startup sound, sometimes it didn't start up but did show the standby led only and every time I pushed power button the standby light blinked and nothing else happened.

    I did measure the voltages from powerboard to mainboard while the cable was disconnected and these are the values I got:

    ANA_DIM 3.26v
    OD_ON/OFF 3.61v
    PWM_BLU 3.14v
    POWER_ON 4.5v
    GND 0.0v
    GND 0.0v
    FAIL_COUNT 1.57v
    A13v 12.85v
    A13v 12.85v
    A13v 12.85v
    A13v 12.85v
    GND 0.0v

    Any ideas how to proceed checking what's wrong? From what I've read it seems that the mainboard (BN94-11896C) might be broken, I did check for spares but it seems expensive (over 100€) and availability in Europe seems non-existant so if anyone knows if there is any other boards that would work with this TV, please share your knowledge.

      i am suspecting bad leds, have you got a led tester?

          Are you getting voltage at the t-con board?
          I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

              Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
              Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

              The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

              Hi it looks like everything works don't know where to test except the 390v in the 2 capacitor in the hot side of the power supply and the weird 180v in the diodes in the cold side that should be discharged it is writin on the circuit no more you can read what is written on the circuit quite srrange color mixiing yellow and white
              anyhow i couldn't t read anything else
              the backlight is on strong and the screen does not get dark or very dark but no pictures
              the mainborad feels a bit hott on the black part i test it to 52 degree's against 34 to 40 on the rest of it

              I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?

              Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

              My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

              This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

              I have a Samsung ue55nu7021k that has working backlights but has a dark blank screen..

              I've tried a couple of different boards from a friend without success, however, one of the boards produced the Samsung Smart logo on the screen so I'm guessing it's the main board that's at fault, is there anything I could try to repair the board or is it a case of buying a new one ?
