I have a QLED, QN55QR60 it constantly reboot after a few seconds. The only thing I found abnormal is on the left panel driver. C005 SMD capacitor gets super hot to the touch when the TV boots. I did a Diode and continuity test. It showed up fine on my Fluke 115. Can anyone explain why it's hot? When the TV goes off, it cools down.

Re: QN55Q60RAFXZA constant reboot
1)Issue resolved. I removed the capacitor C005
2)Then C006 got hot.
3)I removed C006, then felt D001 was burning up.
4) I turned off the TV, add back C005 and C006 then removed D001.
5) The TV is working now.
I'm not entirely sure if it is fine for my client to use the TV without D001. I know LG models when the capacitor shorts. I remove the SMD cap and it resolves the issue. So far I haven't heard an LG client calling me back that their panel failed again. But I am unsure about the QLED.
*EDIT* Do not remove any of parts while the TV is on. -
Re: QN55Q60RAFXZA constant reboot
Can you test C005/6? I'm in doubt they're in short but disconncted after disconnection of shorted diodes. Anyway it is highly suggested that you replace diodes because them are surely there for a purpose, and that would be spike reduction.. The next surge will destroy gate drivers so tv in the bin..
try search uClamp6514P (UCLAMP6514P.TNT) or maybe alternative uClamp4014P (UCLAMP4014P.TNT) by Semtech

Re: QN55Q60RAFXZA constant reboot
There's a complexity to replacing that part especially it is close to the COF. Have you attempted to replace that diode with a soldering tip? I do have a 45 degree pointed tip. My concern is soldering the diode that's facing the SMD capacitors. It is not gonna be a walk in the park.Comment

Re: QN55Q60RAFXZA constant reboot
I have never had in hand this type of model with this fault but i think that a soldering stylus with 0,5mm tip is enough to do the job, no hot air, it's dangerous, or it can be done with aluminum mask. It's a problem due to size of tv. With iron: clean pads, put a tiny drop of tin on outer pin, put flux, place the component, warm pin with solder and move in place, put some tin on the tip then scroll the tip on the other side with clean pins, repeat with first side.Comment

by x_orange90_xThis TV is in a constant reboot where the screen very dimly lights up for about 2 seconds and says SMART TV. I checked the power supply and visually all components look good. I unplugged the main board to see if the backlights would come on but they do not. I also tried my LED tester on the backlight plug and didn't get anything. I know some Samsungs will not light off a single led is out regardless of using a tester, so I'm thinking they are bad. I found a whole set for about $25 which isn't bad, but before I buy them is like to know if they would indeed cause a constant reboot like this tv is...

by spice_discI'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.
The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...1 Photo -

I have a Samsung QLED Q60R tv model QN55Q60RAFXZA version AA02.
As soon as I plug it in, it powers up and shows "SAMSUNG QLED TV" on the screen and the screen goes dark and I hear a little musical jingle but from that point, it reboots and starts the whole process over again. It wouldn't respond to any input from the remote.
I ordered the repair kit for it, sj-KIT-QN55Q60RAFXZA-K2, from ShopJimmy and just got through installing the main board and power supply boards with all of the cables that came with it and I'm still getting the same result. What do you recommend... -
by kevin_alleinHi, I have two identical Samsung GU58TU7199, which both had the reboot loop. On that model TCON is integrated into the motherboard and there is only one FPC cable, which goes to a driver board driving half of the panel (left side seen from the rear of the TV) and than another FPC cable connecting left side to the right side.
The first one was easy, once I disconnected the FPC between left and right the TV did start up. I soldered a bridge on the motherboard on the test points as found here in the forum or on Youtube and half of the screen was coming up. I than tried the CK1..8 lines... - Loading...
