    Re: Samsung UN55MU6290 Boot loop

Set stays on if right side ribbon is disconnected and starts rebooting if it's connected so that means there is short on right side driver board. However without right ribbon connected also there is no VAA voltage. Is it expected or something else is also wrong? Could that be issue on the main board as well?

In certain models if not both half of screen are connected but only one the tension not come out, so you don't know which side has problems, maybe if you block VAA only with tape the rest of tensions come out, try, first one side per time..

I tried with removing big caps on driver board however no luck, same symptoms are there.

          Re: Samsung UN55MU6290 Boot loop

So you removed all big caps in both boards? maybe is not enough, some times there are some caps for the HAVDD, in yours maybe HVAA that fails, have you checked by magnifier first? In post #11 i can't see well, aren't there any diodes? Marked with Dxx... If there are test them. But without instruments is difficult..

I understand that, getting a hot air station. Also find the pictures of the both side boards, I didn't notice any diode on the board. All I could find are caps and few resistors.

As i have said, there are some caps that holds HVAA, them must measure about 8,5v, if you find some of the caps that doesn't hold any charge but are smaller than the ones on VAA them are supected. It's a long job without instruments.

hey you all guys ,im new here but what supposed to be done there is simpleon that model ,someone can think many things about thiy issue, the cure is one ,make screen test Anupkg by removing the lvds cables, start with the rite one u will see no solution, then go to the left one the problem lies there,i mean if you are at the back of the tv ,the right side of the screen, count about 10,12,14 pins from left ofthat cable ,put a piece of tape there not so big , you will see the changes, continue cutting different size of the tape and put it ther ,remove the not working one,by so doing you disable the ckvs there ,the stvp there, the ckvbs there ,that tv will play and light up the screen.thanks

Hi,thanks for your suggestion however I don't think its an issue with clock signal as tv doesn't turn on. Most probably it should be short on the either side as Davi P suggested. I'm waiting for my equipment, so meanwhile will try your solution as well.

                      Re: Samsung UN55MU6290 Boot loop

Removing of the capacitors can be made with a sharp cutter by gently apply pressure at the base, but it's a bit risky, the cap can fly away in the hyperspace...

Update- Checked fee more caps on faulty side however no luck. I gave up on it and decided to remove cof tab bonding cables and after removing 3 tabs tv fired up and could see 3/4 od the screen. Not sure if the short was in the panel itself. Could someone confirm?

Yes, did I make a mistake? I know it's not repairable now however as I said, I gave up and just wanted to check whats the issue. Does that mean panel was ok?

I don't remeber this discussion, i can read it again if i have time to lost but it is unuseful now, removing source cof it's always bad thing and they weren't surely the source of problems, you could have sell entire tv for giving to a more expert tinkerer. It's a bit sad but anyway it's your choice. Maybe there was other tries to do..

...and, for instance, by removing for last the inner tab you did, if i'm right my diagnosis was right then bad cap on a distribution board..

Samsung QLED QN50Q — purchased 2022 started experiencing a delay in the picture coming on in the morning less than 2 years later. Did not know the term boot loop at that time. As the loop delay ran into a few minutes did all the recommended troubleshooting, soft and hard reset, changing cables and outlet locations, no help. As the delay increased contacted Samsung tech group and allow them remote access the tv. Tech was moving too fast to see exactly what he was doing but this ultimately it was also no help. Lived with the delay until it stretched out over 6 hours. Pulled of off the back cover...

Hi Team - just joined to see if anyone can offer some expertise in diagnosing an issue with a TV.

I've done a few hours googling and youtubing but just seeing if anyone has any insight here. I got a 55" Samsung UE55MU6470U which seems to boot loop and then after 10 mins will boot, work for a few minutes, then turn off and repeat.

Whilst it's on into the normal Samsung menu/boot screen it looks perfect - so I can't see there being any screen issues. I've seen lots of videos with taping across clock lines to diagnose which particular one may be an issue but i don't...

Hello all... TV started boot looping. Opened the back panel and tried to isolate the problem. Just PSB no boot loop. PSB and MB no boot loop. Plug in the LVDS from panel to MB and boot looping starts up. It doesnt matter of order that I plug the LVDS ribbons back in, only 1 and no boot loop but as soon as 2nd one plugs in boot looping. I then noticed a flicker on the screen when I was closing the clip on the harness to the LVDS. Shut the lights off so I can see better, and I noticed as i slowly close it, I will get a picture, but as soon as it clips in, I lose picture and booting happens. So I...

Less than a year out of warranty, samsung UE49MU6105K craps out, they've got this designed obsolescence down to an exact science of self destruct when out of warranty...

Screen started to show horizontal lines and ghosted image at the bottom, then turned off by itself. Did software update, to no avail of the line problem, and got a boot loop after some minutes of watching TV. This boot loop will turn on the backlights for some seconds the sound comes on, the image will turn dark very fast and then it reboots again. Pressing power button will not put it on standby. Disconnecting...

                                Hello,

My Samsung TV had a black patch on the left side of the screen for a while. One night it shut off and then became stuck in a boot loop. I initially believed the back-light was the issue and replaced the LEDs but it still boot loops. I've since replaced the main board and the issue persists.

With the main board unplugged, it powers on and the back-light comes on. I've tried the tape method but I gave up as I don't know what pins I need to cover.

I suspect the panel itself it broken but have no multi-meter to test. Is it worth investing in one to test?...
