I was unable to find the exact schematic for my set here but managed to find what appears to be a general layout scheme Vizio uses on the main board. Admittedly, this is a presumption on my part but at least based on mass production topology. In my particular set with all functions working perfectly except no chroma on any inputs or with off air reception, the chroma is multiplexed/recovered in the main chip which is essentially the TV SOC (system on a chip) as opposed to former color burst injection long before the days of HD sets or digital broadcasting. Therefore the easy fix is replacement of the main board, far too expensive for a 2015 vintage HD set. I was planning to do a board level repair not a jerk and run swap. However, reballing a chip that size is not likely to be successful. So I would like to attempt a factory reset before trashing it. The sticky here doesn't cover specific model numbers just general Vizio procedures. Do most all Vizio set of the 2014-2017 sets follow those procedures as given?
