Wondering if any of you have seen this before. I got this TV with lower half of the screen dim. Fixed the LED backlight issue - smooth
I noticed that the System update lists current firmware is V1.0.6 and is able to find on the Vizio server 2.60.23-1... it downloads fully.. but instead of restarting, it just goes back to the previous screen "NO SIGNAL - HDMI1"
I got the code and followed the update via flash drive - and it does exactly the same thing. Firmware is copied by the TV 100%, and then nothing - instead of restarting, it just goes back to the previous screen "NO SIGNAL - HDMI1"
When I check the System Info, still lists V1.0.6 as current firmware (so process never completes)
Got with Vizio Tech support - had me reset the TV (Back to Factory Reset) and the TV is doing exactly the same as above. They suggested I schedule service!
Any thoughts on what can be wrong? I recall years ago a TV had "Allow FW update set to Disabled" in the service menu. Can't seem to get there.
Also, I couldn't find earlier firmware for this TV. I'm thinking jumping from 1.0.6 to 2.60.23-1 maybe a big jump and if I can gradually get there, it might work.
Help is always appreciated! Thank you
