It's a tool with a plastic wedge at the end. http://www.ohmsupplies.co.uk/epages/.../OHMYS01-A2.06

Re: samsung ue55nu7021k backlights working but blank screen
Sorry taken so long but just about to open the TV up but just noticed its a screwless rear. Just looked at a video and the guy sues a tool to open which I don't have. Can I just use a flat screwdriver or do you think this will damage the TV? There appears to be some gaps at the bottom of the tv to pry a screwdriver inLeave a comment:

Re: samsung ue55nu7021k backlights working but blank screen
A replacement main board would probably solve this fault and is quite easy too change but you would have to take a good clear picture of the mainboard so we can read the details on it and also one of the lcd panel stckerLeave a comment:

Re: samsung ue55nu7021k backlights working but blank screen
Sorry this is beyond my technical knowledge. Are you suggesting taking something out and reprogramming it. Yeah I have no equipment to do any reprogramming! Would a replacement board fix this, I guess its hard to say without knowing what the actual fault is?Leave a comment:

Apologies, I should have started my own thread I guess. But yes as stated I raised my query from post 4 onwards. I haven't opened up the TV but is this worth doing and taking a photo of whats inside?Leave a comment:

Re: samsung ue55nu7021k backlights working but blank screen
I have a Samsung ue55nu7021k that has working backlights but has a dark blank screen..
I've tried a couple of different boards from a friend without success, however, one of the boards produced the Samsung Smart logo on the screen so I'm guessing it's the main board that's at fault, is there anything I could try to repair the board or is it a case of buying a new one ?
Thanks in advanceLast edited by lotas; 12-07-2021, 03:14 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: samsung ue55nu7021k backlights working but blank screen
I wonder if the ic can be removed from the mainboard and re programmed that way, downside is if you have not got a programmer already you would have too buy one so a replacement mainboard may work out cheaper.Leave a comment:

Re: samsung ue55nu7021k backlights working but blank screen
So tried several times with different usb's and nothing, just hangs and then reverts back to the No Signal screen.
Any other thoughts, do you think it's a software issue?Leave a comment:

Ignore that I think I have answered my own question, the windows file won't extract on the mac so it has to be All OS.Leave a comment:

Re: samsung ue55nu7021k backlights working but blank screen
So I only have one USB on the TV that I can use, just checked the usb and its formatted to FAT32. Can I just double check that when I download the update, do I select the windows version or All OS. I selected All OS as I'm downloading the software on my iMac? I'm pretty sure it should be All OS but just want to check and will then use other USB's.Leave a comment:

Re: samsung ue55nu7021k backlights working but blank screen
You have correctly formatted (FAT32) and unpacked the files for updating, try other USB flash drives and insert them into other slots.Leave a comment:

Re: samsung ue55nu7021k backlights working but blank screen
Just tried a fix on the link you shared, one where you reset the apps. That too, no joy. Still getting the same thing. Interestingly I get the SID_No_Signal something and sometimes it displays properly, saying No Signal.Leave a comment:

Re: samsung ue55nu7021k backlights working but blank screen
not sure if you can re programe the eemc etc on these sets if a replacent mainboard is cheap maybe its worth going down that route will need a picture of your mainboard thats used in your tv plus on the metal tv chassis should be a white sticker with the lcd panel type.Leave a comment:

by dicky96Hi guys
I'm trying to fix this laptop screen
Basically the owner is a computer shop and they brought it to me with two screens. They said the repair shop they use could not fix it, so I thought i would try to see if I am better than their current repairer!
OK so I have the original screen which works but has lines across the bottom quarter of the screen
I have the replacement screen, which they fitted and it worked. They then put the laptop on one side for a couple of weeks until they found a buyer. When they showed it to the buyer, the screen would... -
by mrtekHi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together. Now the tv shows no welcome screen and no sound is available thru the speakers. ..just a black screen..Backlight LED do turn on...also noticed a 5 blink code , not sure if that was there before. I can...6 Photos

by BloopetaSamsung UE55JU6800K with no image on screen.
I have had this TV many years without fault, however aprox 6 months ago I fitted a new set of backlights as some of the lens caps had fallen off.
Was working fine, until 3 days ago, when watching TV the screen just went blank (still illuminated)
I turned the TV off and left it around 12 hours, and when turned it on again it seemed to work perfectly again. After around 45 mins the screen went blank again.
Left it off overnight and turned it on, and the Smart TV logo came on as normal, then screen went blank.

by madverkusHey guys
I got this TV from my friend and he said that one day he was trying to power it on it was just dead.
I did open the back of the TV and check the boards and cable connections and everything seems ok (no popped caps or anything visible).
I tried to turn it on few times and when I plug it in it flashes "Smart TV" logo and goes dark for about 20 seconds (no backlight yet) and after that the backlights are lit but no picture and didn't give any startup sound, sometimes it didn't start up but did show the standby led only and every time I pushed power... - Loading...
