Hitachi LE55W806 - just a quick flash then nothing

I have a Hitachi LE55W806 tv that would show a quick flash when turned on, the the screen goes dark. Using a flashlight, I can see that the tv is on. Initially, I thought it was the backlight so I took the tv apart (that was quite the job) just to find out that the sole LED strip (edge lit tv) was working just fine. Could this be a main board problem or the LED driver board? Pictures of the boards are attached.

I would have just replace the LED driver board, but nobody carries it. If problem is main board, I think I have seen it on ebay.

How did you test the backlight to confirm the leds were fine?
You photo also shows a cable disconnected from the Tcon board.

Willing to help but I'm no expert.

I took it all apart to get to the LED strip, then tested with LED backlight tester. All LEDs lit and showed the same voltage (there were 4 segments of LEDs on one strip). As foe the loose wire, it is not for the tcon board. I think it goes to the wifi card.

[Help] Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-14ARE05 (DA0LS3MBAF0) – 25Q80DVN1G Flash Is All FF, USB-C PD Stuck at 5V
        by ekozeko333
        Hi all,
I’m trying to recover a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-14ARE05 with board DA0LS3MBAF0 Rev:F. I’ve run into an unusual issue where USB-C PD is stuck at 4.7–5V and the system won’t boot (keyboard lights flash briefly, then nothing).
🔥 The Problem Started After Suspected ESD/PD Fault
I experienced a power issue or ESD event through a USB-C charger
After that, the NX20P5090 power switch was visibly burned and was replaced
Now the PD controller always negotiates 5V @ 2A, even with known-good chargers

Nikon D800 camera - flash don’t work and capacitor don’t charge
        by corrize
        Hello, I'm stuck in troubleshooting…
The flash system works like that : when the (mechanic) flash button is pressed, the flash mecanically pop up, and a circuit buck boost elevate 7v (batt) to 200-300v (?) for charging the big capacitor. And when the photo shoot button is pressed, the capacitor is discharged in the xeon light.

In the D800, there is a first « power board » close to the battery. 2 wires (batt 7v) goes to another little « flash board ». I measured 7v, so ok.
When I press the flash button, it's detected by the system, flash icon appear on LDC display....

Fujitsu E19W-5 quick white flash when plugged to AC then no life
        by davidebaldini
Symptom: my Fujitsu E19W-5 emits a white flash from the CCFL lamps for a split second after being plugged to AC, then it behaves as if unplugged from mains: no backlight, no image on the LCD, no LED light on the front bezel; it remains in this status indefinitely. Re-pugging the AC cable repeats the behavior.

I have fixed it by replacing the four capacitors on the power supply circled in the photo. It is functional without defects now. This PCB seems identical to the Fujitsu E19-5 that was discussed here for the same symptoms, for which replacing C910 alone was sufficient....

Request: SPI Flash BIOS Dump (Winbond 25Q128) for Dahua NVR4216-4KS2
        by spmetroil
        Hello,

I am trying to repair a Dahua NVR4216-4KS2 that is not booting.
The main BIOS/firmware is stored in an SPI flash EEPROM (Winbond 25Q128, labeled as U130 on the PCB).

I have a CH341A programmer and I already attempted the following steps:
        1. Identified the correct chip (W25Q128, 3.3V SPI flash).
        2. Tried to read the contents with CH341A Programmer software. The dump seems corrupted and I often get the error: “Chip with the contents are in disagreement.”
        3. Compared several chip type selections (24Cxx and 25Qxx families) to confirm it is indeed a 25 series SPI

Canon VIXIA HF S10 A read data from inernal flash memory.
        by abajor
Hello I've had somebody bring in one of these charming little cameras to attempt retrieving data from the internal 32GB flash.
Something is damaged inside the cameras lens assembly I can hear it clunking around and it has probably dislodged the sensor, powering up the camera gives a blank screen and the focus motor sounds like it's having a fit.
The camera will not connect to a computer via USB in this state, I have no options no navigation, just power up and focus/zoom motor noises.

I think my best shot is to figure out a way to read the internal flash memory outside...
