Canon VIXIA HF S10 A read data from inernal flash memory.

Hello I've had somebody bring in one of these charming little cameras to attempt retrieving data from the internal 32GB flash.
Something is damaged inside the cameras lens assembly I can hear it clunking around and it has probably dislodged the sensor, powering up the camera gives a blank screen and the focus motor sounds like it's having a fit.
The camera will not connect to a computer via USB in this state, I have no options no navigation, just power up and focus/zoom motor noises.

I think my best shot is to figure out a way to read the internal flash memory outside of the camera.
It has two flash modules on a small board with a Phison PS8005-A controller similar to many SD cards, and it interfaces with the main camera body via a flexi cable.

I'm thinking best case is hacking into an SD card reader maybe a micro SD to full size SD adapter?
Worst case would be solder the chips onto something else since there appears to be some epoxy like under fill like substance around the FLASH modules.

Anybody here have any experience with such an operation?

Attached are pictures of the Flash module.

That's a pretty wild looking piece of kit, looks like you need to create your own interface for it at the through holes?

I'll need to research those more, I was hoping I could just bodge into the pads, but it is pretty tight working space.

These guys have a site that appears to be dedicated to the topic of recovering data from flash drives.

Have you searched for the datasheet of that Phison ontroller ? Maybe your module interfaces with the camera in a "common" way, and then you could, with luck, bodge something to connect it to a sdcard adapter.

              Yes

This is the only thing I've found. I have no idea why Phison doesn't make their device spec sheets available publicly.

It may be the proper pin arrangement. I can't really verify whether or not the pin layout in the diagram is for a totally different package or someone taking artistic liberties. I suppose I can give this pin layout a shot and see if the Ribbon interface has continuity where expected.

I've traced out most of the pins based on what I believe is the proper layout of the Phison PS8005. Some of the pins are not visible as their VIA's are under the chip.
Currently I need to Determine which is the CLK and CMD line. I'm going to make a guess that the CLK is the line the runs between the two ground wires, and Clock is the line next to data here is my pin layout based on the standard SD card layouts and the Phison Chip.
