Request: SPI Flash BIOS Dump (Winbond 25Q128) for Dahua NVR4216-4KS2

    Hello,

I am trying to repair a Dahua NVR4216-4KS2 that is not booting.
The main BIOS/firmware is stored in an SPI flash EEPROM (Winbond 25Q128, labeled as U130 on the PCB).

I have a CH341A programmer and I already attempted the following steps:
    1. Identified the correct chip (W25Q128, 3.3V SPI flash).
    2. Tried to read the contents with CH341A Programmer software. The dump seems corrupted and I often get the error: “Chip with the contents are in disagreement.”
    3. Compared several chip type selections (24Cxx and 25Qxx families) to confirm it is indeed a 25 series SPI flash (128Mbit ≈ 16 MB).
    4. Verified the programmer works with other chips, so the issue is specifically with this NVR’s corrupted BIOS.

Now, what I need is the correct full dump (.bin file, ~16 MB) of the SPI flash for the Dahua NVR4216-4KS2, so I can reflash it and bring the device back to life.

If anyone has successfully extracted the BIOS/firmware dump from a working NVR4216-4KS2 or has access to Dahua SPI images, I would be very grateful if you could share it.

Thanks in advance for any support or for pointing me in the right direction.

[REQUEST] 2MB BIOS Dump for Lenovo NM-E471 Rev 2.0 (Winbond 25Q16JWSIQ Chip)
    by hyperwood
    Hi everyone,

    I’m looking for a 2 MB BIOS dump for a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 16ARH7H / Legion 5 with mainboard NM-E471 Rev. 2.0.

The BIOS chip is a Winbond W25Q16FW (1.8V, 2MB) and it's completely unresponsive / bricked. I tried recovery via USB but no success. Now I want to reflash it externally using a CH341A programmer.

I already found 32MB dumps (e.g. from Vinafix and Badcaps), but they are too large for the chip – and the last 2MB in those files are just FF FF FF....

    ✅ What I need:
    • A working 2MB BIOS dump
    • Matching NM-E471 Rev. 2.0, e.g. JY575

Winbond 25Q16JWNIG – Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 G814JZ bricked after wrong flash – Need help
    by Vincent Kahle
    Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help me.
I have an Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 (G814JZ) laptop with a Winbond 25Q16JWNIG chip on the motherboard.

Unfortunately, I flashed the wrong file (BIOS/EC/other region – I'm honestly not sure anymore), and now the laptop is completely dead: no display, no fan spin, no reaction at all.

I have a CH341A programmer and I'm able to read and write to the chip. However, I'm not sure which software is best (AsProgrammer, NeoProgrammer, etc.) or if there's anything specific I should watch out for.
    A valid BIOS/EC backup...

Alienware 17 Area-51m laptop BIOS dump with Winbond 25Q80DVSIG
    by TechMark1
I was searching the BIOS on this Alienware Area-51m laptop to try to find the info for a customer, but could not find it. I discovered that info is encrypted and hidden only Dell can pull it up. So then I thought, there may be someone who needs a working BIOS dump bin file for that laptop. So, I am uploading it to help others who may need this to unbrick the laptop or fix their Area-51m. The BIOS chip was a Winbond 25Q80DVSIG. If this helps someone out there, then my labor was not wasted. I just zipped it so I could attach it....
