    LG LED TV Blink Error Codes

    Hi,

    I would appreciate if any knowledge member can provide some insight into LG LED TV blinking light error codes. That is the number of time the red LED blinks and which part of the TV is responsible for that code. I believe this information will help many hobbyists like me. Thanks.

      LG TVs don't have blink codes. Only Panasonic, Sony and the older Sharps (non-Hisense). Both LG and Samsung front LEDs may blink while booting. LG UH series may blink after protection shutdown from bad LEDS.

          My sister upstairs, has an LG UH6100 series with bad LEDs, TMK!

          Still works, but the writing is thoroughly on the wall!

              Thanks for your reply nielc6. LG LED TV 55LW5000 has its red light slowly blink two times before turning off at TV plug in. TV does not start. If it is not error code then it seems a protective shutdown. What part of the TV is defective when red light blinks twice and TV does not start up. Any thoughts? (EEPROM, Main Board etc.?)

                  LE, LV, LW and LS series LG TVs all have main board BGA failures. You can search your model for repair services on ebay. You can also try heating the processor with a hair dryer before plugging it in.

                      Hello, looking for a list of error codes for this TV. made in 2020, its manufactured by Hisense under Sharp brand. No clicks, black screen, no sound, power light is on solid. When I press power, it blinks 5 normal blinks and 1 short. and nothing happens.
                      Anybody has a list of error codes that might apply to this TV? I have not opened it yet.

                      I have been trying to solve the power-down 8-blink red LED problem with my Pioneer.


                      So far I have replaced the power supply board, and the digital assembly board, I have reconnected the ribbons to all boards, ensuring the connections are good. Even though the problem is the 8 red light error and not the more common 8 blue light error code, I had Kcrownie,
                      based in North Carolina replace the chips that cause the 8 blue LED problem (the main board and audio board) the plasma is still powering...

                      Years ago my tv gave a 7 blink code which turned into 8 during diagnosis. I had ordered a replacement ss board but somehow the tv started working again and i never used the board. Now a week ago my tv flickered and shut off at random and gave the 8 blink error code. The same issue it had all those years ago. The only difference this time is that over the last few months there has been some purple and green tinge that comes and goes in more solid colors such as white.

                      Anyway i checked all the screws and replaced the ss board with a known good one and still got 8 blinks. I saw a...

                      For anyone interested just repaired this Sony Main board TV that had a 2 blink error code, the chassis is a RB2G which is common to quite a few different Sony models. The Ceramic 10uF 25V X7R 1206 capacitor C9114 was shorted which took the smd 2A 0603 fuse out F9101. This was powering the Buck converter TPS54332 which caused no 5V output from it.
                      See the attached picture of the locations of both components. I also attach the best service manual I found for this board for anyone else in a similar position of trying to repair this main board. It's not specific to the TV model however it gives...
