Sony Bravia KDL-65W850C red tinge and double image

    Hi all,
Long time lurker first time post.

I was recently gifted a KDL-65W850C that had a faulty backlight LED, replaced the strip and it now has a functioning backlight.

The issues now are that skin tones are red and also I'm getting double images
and "ghosting"? on right hand side. I have attached pics.

Also the "tab" on top right of panel is hot to the touch, when I do touch it does affect the picture slightly. The other tabs are cool to the touch. Pic also attached...finger in (pic because camera wouldn't focus)

Video of image being affected by touching the tab at https://youtu.be/X9Piq9lbjAE

Appreciate any guidance in sorting this out, promised the wife we'd have a new TV...don't want to let her down :-)
Let me know if I need to provide more info.

    Cheers

Take a card or such and get slight even pressure on that tab you are testing, if it's hot and or black it's probably bad, there's the cof bypass but it's not simple. You may have luck with the "tape cut-off" method, not sure about that one tho.

Example of cof bypass there, might need to find one that gives a better step by step process but there's a lot of such videos on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YacI7hWWKJw

Hey thanks for your reply nomoresonys I'll do some research on those two possible fixes.
But I think I have found the issue and not sure this is repairable.
The COF looks like its popped see pic.

Whats the chance of this panel being salvageable?

        Cheers
