Hello everyone,
I have a 50LA6970-ue lg tv. With any kind of input (antenna, hdmi, etc..) the audio works fine, but the image keeps turning on then going black then coming back on then going black, etc.. This cycle of image coming and going keeps happening as long as the tv is on. I checked removed the backcover and checked the backlights while the tv is on, and nothing happens to them even though the problem is still there on screen. I measured the 3.5, 12, and 24 voltages from the power board and they all seemed fine. I tried changing the tcon board with a new one, but the problem is still happening.
I am a newbie DIYer, but in my humble opinion I suspect the problem is very different from normal panel issue symptoms I see online, and I have a feeling there is something else at work here that could be more easily fixed. From what I read, panel issues are not worth fixing due to cost and unavailability of gear for a DIYer.
I can create a video of the problem if that helps. I would appreciate your guidance on this issue.
