ANOTHER Vizio M65-C1 No picture Issue

    What happened:
I was watching YoutubeTV on a ROKU streaming device when the screen froze with all sorts of garbled colors, shapes, half legible words, etc. The audio was still streaming. I grabbed the TV remote and turned the TV off. Waited a minute or so and powered back on, no picture. I am not sure about sound as I couldn't navigate anything.

    What I've done:
Performed the flashlight test. I don't see anything.

Measured voltages on the power supply:

    CN9101 -__________OFF____ON
    PIN 1 - +5V/+3.5V__5.1V____5.2
    PIN 3 - +12V -______19V____19.2
    PIN 5 - +12V -______19V____19.3
    PIN 7 - +12V_A _____19V____19.2
    PIN 9 - GND -________0V_____0
    PIN 11 - GND ________0V_____0
    PIN 13 - 3D _________0V_____0
    PIN 15 - ON/OFF _____0V_____0.08

    CN9102 -
    PIN 2 - +5V/+3.5V -___5.1V__5.2
    PIN 4 - +12V - _______19V___19.0
    PIN 6 - +12V - _______19V___19.0
    PIN 8 - +12V_A -______19V___19.0
    PIN 10 - GND -________0V____0
    PIN 12 - GND - ________0V____0
    PIN 14 - PS_ON -_______0V___3.5
    PIN 16 - DIM -_________0V____3.3

    CN9201 -
    PIN 1 - ON/OFF - ______0V____0.0
    PIN 3 - 3D ___________0V____0
    PIN 5 - GND __________0V____0
    PIN 7 - GND __________0V____0
    PIN 9 - GND -_________0V____0
    PIN 11 - +24V - _______0V____24.0
    PIN 13 - +24V - _______0V____24.0

    CN9203
    PIN 2 - DIM - _________0V____3.3
    PIN 4 - +12V - ________19V __19.1
    PIN 6 - GND - _________0V____0
    PIN 8 - GND - _________0V____0
    PIN 10 - +24V -________0V____24.0
    PIN 12 - +24V -________0V____24.0
    PIN 14 - +24V - ________0V____24.0

Also, nothing on the main board side of the ON/OFF. Am I right that the signal for this come from the main board?

From reading posts here (thank you!) I think I know that PIN 15 is the BL ON signal from the main board. Obviously, 0.08 doesn't cut it. So...I found one on eBay and thought it was the obvious solution. Just got it today and it reads the same as above.
My question is: Can anything else be causing this or did I get suckered on eBay? I don't have a problem returning the board but don't want to waste the sellers time and money unless I'm confident I'm in the right.

    Thank you!

Your replacement board is bad as well. ON/OFF comes directly from the processor.

One good thing about buying boards from ebay is the money back guarantee.

I purchased a guaranteed working and tested board with the same failure previously. If sellers takes returns, then easy for an unscrupulous buyer to return a bad board and it gets resold.

The seller insisted he tested it personally and asked for pics of my board to confirm I bought the right one. I also sent him pictures of the voltage in standby and powered up. He refunded me immediately.

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
            by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

            Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

            First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

            Vizio P759-G1, Tcon issue?
            by EazyBone
Got this TV free. Guy said it tries to turn on and doesn't. I haven't seen this specific issue before but shown in video. Any way to test the screen to rule it out on these Vizio? Or anyone seen this issue before?

            Any help appreciated

            by csmith
I replaced the backlights all good. Two months later set was dead, had a shorted D9100, replaced all good again.
Now months later set powers up,backlights light ok,no picture. 12volts missing from fuse on tcon. 12VA on power
supply is 19 volts. Changed D9100 again, same, 12 volts measures 19. Am I looking at a power supply or mainboard
issue. Set will power up with remote but not power off....
