    Panasonic TH-50PX75U black vertical bar and colored lines

    Hey guys,
    I had a previous thread about this TV here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=79192

    My problem was the top half of the TV had went out and the problem ended up being on the SU board.

    That problem is now fixed and I am left with a different problem. There is a roughly 2" vertical black bar on the left side of the display and a single pixel wide red and green stripe on the right side of the display.

    I have tried reseating the ribbon cables to the panel without any results. I do not think the TV had this problem before the top half of the screen went out but it is hard to remember as it has been over a year since I worked on it last.

    The strange thing is that if I put a very light or dark background were the two vertical stripes are, the problem does not appear in that area. See the pictures for a better explanation. Also, the problem does not occur on the black no-signal screen of the TV.

    I am am not sure if this is a panel fault or if something may have happened while I was troubleshooting the other problem with the TV.

    Please let me know what you think the problem could be.

      Unplugged the panel ribbon cable where the black bar is and tested it with a meter on diode test mode. There is no reading on that ribbon. So it is a bad panel.

          Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

          Hi guys…I need your help. My cousin ask me to fix her tv. The tv when I went to pick up showed 3 horizontal black line. So I know it was a bad panel issue but I could try to fix with the tape method so I said her I could fix easy. When I come back to home, I turned on the tv and now the tv show vertical line colored….and the problem is that I unplug the ldvs cable, first the right side then the left side I still have the lines.           Hello there, ive recently found an older 55inch Samsung SmartTV.
          Sadly it has vertical lines at the left and one line in the middle-right.

          I have already tested out the connections and have looked at the soldered ribbons of the LCD panel to see if some contacts got loose by pushing them a bit but with no success.
          I have factory resetted the TV as well but also with no luck.

          I am afraid that it is indeed a LCD Panel issue but there are NO scratches or any impact-marks..

          A similar issue has been posted as well but also with no actual response ...

          First. it has no picture at all. i solved it by covering the ckv lines using tape to to block the connections

          Second. now has picture but with vertical lines that follow the image. tcon board ic overheating

          tried blocking LC lines too, but same results



          is it lcd panel issue or tcon board issue?...

          i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :




          With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :




          I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

          Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?
