    Panasonic TC-P42S30 Standby light

I have been reading the board for the last couple of evenings and have found some good stuff but I want to get some input from you experts because I don't know Jack about electronics.

The TV is a Panasonic TC-P42S30 that only goes to standby when turned on.
After reading the forum I disconnected the SN board and got an 8 blink code.
I tested some of the components on the SN board (TNPA5349) and this is what I got:

    SN 2 - .5 Ohms

Transistors - I tested back to each leg in diode mode
    Q441 - 047, 000
    Q451 - 004, 360
    Q422 - 000, 000
    Q421 - 015, 000
    Q402 - 008, 000
    Q401 - 011, 000
    Q622 - 1, 393
    Q621 - 1, 393
    Q601 - 1, 513
    Q660 - 1, 559
    Q661 - 1, 516

    Diodes
    D461 - 360, 360
    D481 - 000, 000
    D421 - 000, 000
    D401 - 000, 000
    D641 - 392, 392
    D642 - 392, 392

    Resistors
    R422 - 7.8
    R421 - 7.8
    R402 - 6.7
    R401 - 6.7
    R451 - 6.1

Which ones do I need to replace (some look obvious but I am ignorant so better to ask) and is there anything else I should test? Thanks for any help.

The ones that read 000 need to be removed and tested off board as they appear to be shorted or in parallel with a shorted component.

Thanks Mr. Barton. I think I will replace all the 000 and the Q451. I found a magnifying glass and 401 and 402 are supposed to be 7.5 so I will replace those as well. Does anyone know of a kit with all of the below that you feel confident are a quality product. If any of you rep these I am asking you were not selling. Thanks again for any help.

          Re: Panasonic TC-P42S30 Standby light

I messaged the company that was suggested. They don't carry the diodes or resisters. They also said that diodes don't go bad until people try to take them off the board. I really don't want to buy a kit and then have to buy another with the components the first one doesn't have. Does anyone customize kits with the parts you want not just what they think you need? I know that some parts will test out OK because they are in parallel but I'd rather pay more to have everything I may need before I start.

            Hi

Try Ohm supplies They sell quite comprehensive kits , that cover most eventualities , on these types of boards .

Thats interesting since it's the first model number given in the list!

I took a quick look and they seem to sell a lot of individual components so it should be easy to add to a kit. Thanks.

Yes , sorry , forgot to mention they are UK based company.

Must be companies in the States offering similar kits , i would imagine .

From their message: "It is extremely unlikely you need replacement diodes, for example. They hardly ever go bad - mostly when people try to desolder a leg from them to see if it is indeed shorted."

                        Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...

                        Hi everyone,
I'm trying to troubleshoot and repair this old LG OLED curved TV, model 55EG910V.
I did some basic troubleshooting and reviewed most related posts here, but I wasn't able to isolate the issue.

The TV shut itself off during playback and never came back to life - the standby light remains off. My dad claims that it has happened a few times in the past but the issue resolved itself after some time. Not this one.

After checking the basics I did the following:
                        • I measured all voltages and as expected the only active supply is the 3.5V standby. It

                        TV: Samsung QLED QE65Q7FNAT

                        MB: BN94-12832K

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r...

Philips 37HFL5682L/F7 no standby light, incomplete service manual?
                        by jasonbay13
picked up a tv and when the power is plugged, the standby light flashes real quick then goes off. of 3.3, 12, 24v is all there but i couldnt find any 5v on the back-end board. ON/OFF is low, which it seems is what turns on the backlight so i removed the wire at the back-end board and put a 10k resistor to the 3.3v, which when plugged in brings on the backlight for a split second and also a blue light "LED1" on the inverter board, which goes off after a short time.
am i missing something to bring on the backlight or is the inverter/ccfl gone bad? would that cause the inverter board...
