    Help for LG 42LH5000-ZB

    Hi guys i need your help. I m trying to repair this tv, my friend says a lightining strike killed it because the hdmi peripherals connected to it are dead aswell.
    i excluded power supply, i shorted +5v with power on and on/off pins and led lights works.

    Power led is on but tv stays off

    voltage are these with no shorted pins

    error : +5v (with mainboard disconnected, when connected drops at 3.3)
    +5.2 volt present all the others pin are 0.

    when shorted +5v with pow on and on/off pins ( and mainboard disconnected obv) i have +20 volts and +12v and the leds go on.

    pdim1 and pdim2 +3v
    adim : 1.7
    error pin go 0

    so i think mainboard is the issue right?

              Hi All,

              Need help.

              I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

              So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
              problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
              might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....

              Hello, everyone!

              I have some trouble with the G513-MP-GBM board, it's from an ASUS ROG STRIX G713IC-HX041W.

              The total current consumption was about 200mA. The 0.8 Volt rail at the CPU was correct working.
              But the power button has not been pressed...
              I found some spurious solder between the pads 6 (VRA_SVT) and 7 (APU_PWR_EN) of the PWM-controller, "U66000".
              Which can explain why this power rail has been starting without...

              Hello:

              I have both these laptops that appeared to have the same fault so I thought I would have a go at replacing the PCH as something to learn, they both are using the same PCH.


              I started on the ACER:

              Up on connecting power no signs of life but current is consumed from the bench power supply and the PCH is hot.
              All the caps on the top of the PCH are showing 0 ohms and the 3.3v rail is shorted.

              I followed the videos from Sorin, Electronics Repair School on Youtube heating from the bottom to install. I practised on around 10 scrap...

              Hi Folks,
              I have a 65" newer (2021 model) that has no sign of life. No backlight, no front LED (assuming it has one) and no audio or turn on chime.

              Photos below of the system

              The CN6401 Connector has the following vitals:
              STBY_3.3V is 3.432 V
              BL_ON low (0.153 V)
              BL_ERR low (0.051V)
              POWER_ON 3.42 V (as soon as I plug it into the wall this comes on)
              REG12V pins 12.7 V
              TCON_VCC12V pins low (0.11V)
              TCON_ON low (0.155)


              Large caps are at 392V as soon as I plug into power

              Seems like a Mainboard...

              Dear forum members,
              I'm trying to repair this All-in-one machine that had a problem in the usb-c port, maybe the owner connected some shorted device and caused a disaster.
              I found that were shorted :
              Southbridge Intel Q370 SR404 (shorts on main core, 3v rails and data lines on usb ports)
              U89 Intel JHL7340 Thunderbolt controller
              U22 MX25L8006E Thunderbolt controller firmware IC (with a little bump on it)

              When I unsoldered these 3 ICs , the main 3v line has returned to a normal value, around 400mV (measured with red probe on GND and black one on...
