Re: LED TV doesn't want to turn on
I have found a can of duster for about 5 EUR, so I will try with that. I just need a short tutorial on how to do it, since I never done this before.
TV should be plugged out? From what I read in some of the first posts, I should spray it with a can upside down? For how many seconds I should spray? And lastly, should I keep spraying when I plug in TV (so it doesn't get warm), or it should be enough to just spray it before plugging in?
Thanks.Leave a comment:

Re: LED TV doesn't want to turn on
I've tried putting a board into the freezer for couple of hours, but unfortunately the problem remains the same.
Are you sure that it's not a IR/button board problem, by looking at first picture I've made (the one with measured voltages)? I'm now even closer of buying a working used board, because a can of duster is about 10 EUR, and I don't know if that's gonna work, while board is 30 EUR, but I don't want to spend money on a board if I'm not sure that main board is faulty.Leave a comment:

Re: LED TV doesn't want to turn on
enough to freeze the bloody things ..good few seconds . must splash out again 1 day for the real freezing stuff .not had any for years . my brother set fire to our bedroom when we were kids .was filling a cig lighter and i said just burn off what went on the floor .. unbeknown to us the beds were stuffed with straw . beds were from the late 60.s . this was in the early 70.s . it happened very quickly hence my warning . lighter gas is very volatile .Leave a comment:

Re: LED TV doesn't want to turn on
freezer might not work enough .been there done that . if you use gas do it outside if you can or as close as you can like near an open outside door .. gas heads for the floor and looks for ignition sources .Leave a comment:

Re: LED TV doesn't want to turn on
A quick squirt of butane (lighter gas) is far better than putting it in the freezer.Leave a comment:

Re: LED TV doesn't want to turn on
Ok, I will try that, but I will put it in some bag first, because of a moisture from the freezer.Last edited by darkwarrior92; 09-21-2020, 03:51 PM.Leave a comment:

You can stick the entire board in the freezer.Leave a comment:

Re: LED TV doesn't want to turn on
I think it's 25Q32, but I will check tomorrow, it's late now. A problem is that I don't know where to buy a new blank chip, I could buy it from ebay or aliexpress, but it would take forever to receive it, so maybe I will just go for a working used main board which is about 30 EUR.Leave a comment:

Re: LED TV doesn't want to turn on
Tv not turning on could be a bad eeprom if you have standby voltage. Freeze it with an upside down can of duster before plugging in. 8 pin soic with white dot beside processor.Leave a comment:

It's not Android, it is a regular TV (non smart). I think main board is made in Turkey.Leave a comment:

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by maxim2511My Oled Tv is 55inch tv, 3 days ago I notice that middle of the screen is getting warmer and on picture I have ghosting, missing red color. Color red was still displaying, but it was not so strong as corners of the screen and watching some movies makes me angry.
Then I get an idea to take it apart and clean boards from dust.
In side of Tv was not so bad, I take compressed air in can, and gently blow up.
Also I was thinking to styrofoam sponge to isolate power board from screen that the middle of the screen will not worm so much. Because Led on screen when gets higher... -

by HakuuHi There,
This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.
After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

by canadaboy25I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.
The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.
I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was... - Loading...
