Re: Projector Epson EH-TW570 not Warming Up
There was a short in the HDMI IC, a cap was shorted to ground. So I removed the IC and the short is gone but still no image and the same blinking LED status. Do you think that with the HDMI IC removed the projector can't work ?Leave a comment:

The 3 IC are still getting even with the 3 LCD ribbon cables disconnected. And the LED status has the same behaviour.Leave a comment:

Re: Projector Epson EH-TW570 not Warming Up
So the voltages from the power supply to the ballast are :
4,2 V
17 V
380 V
I unplugged the fans one after another but nothing different happened. I have the same LED status light blinking. I have also the same behaviour when I remove the lamp.
I have notice that 3 IC's are getting really hot when the projector is powered on. They are labelled E06210POA but I can't find any info or datasheet.
BTW you have on MB SW700 for RSTLast edited by Diah; 07-22-2020, 08:48 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: Projector Epson EH-TW570 not Warming Up
okay our thought was the boot.. so we have now when you plug it first time at wall socket power LED goes Red as standby. after pressing power the status blinking red and keep blinking..
let trick it by make error.. to see the error section at boot will remark them and give asign or not..such..
1- disconnect main FAN socket and try
2-remove the lamp ( but put back the door )
3- while its on standby.. if you press power on RC it response ? in case yes.. then press freez keep pressing and power it on from the panel switch.. same do it by pressing the menu on RC

Re: Projector Epson EH-TW570 not Warming Up
Start checking all SMT FB parts specially on the downside close to EX FAN and SCI.. this boards had so many fuses need first to go over them.. then back to boot.Leave a comment:

Hoping someone here can put me on the right track. I'm trying to troubleshoot/flowchart the "internal projector error" on my newly acquired Facebook Marketplace bought Epson 5040UB projector (3LED, not DLP). Owner said it needed new lamp, actually error code blink pattern indicates "Internal Projector Error, call Epson support". Unit is out of warranty as of 8/19
Here's what happens:
1) Power on
2) Blue power indicator lights and the lens cover motor opens the lens cover, light fan noise heard
3) Blue status light flashes for appx 4 minutes... -

by narfhi all,
first of all: i'm a (motivated) newbie, so please forgive me any stupid question i may or may not ask
i'm currently repairing a projector: Epson EB-U42 that doesn't start (no lights, nothing).
what i've found so far:
- the PSU does its job and supplies 12V to the mainboard via the connector.
- shortly thereafter, there is a mosfet (TS420-600B) where i can test 12V on the one side (in the data sheet this side is called Anode), Gate 0V, Kathode shorted to ground
- not far away, there's the first cap with a resistance of 0.7 ohms.... -
