SEIKI SE32HD08UK TV TP.S506.PB753 Standby Issue

    Hi,

I'm recycling a TV to use the backlight LED's but the TV turns off after about 10 minutes

I've removed the display layer as this was broken hence the recycle and the speakers etc.

I'd also like the TV to immediately turn on once plugged in

    Any ideas?

    thanks in advance

Is this a continuation of your 17IPS72 thread. If it is it would have been better not to start a new thread but keep the other one going.

    Edit
I see that this is indeed a new thread.

      Sorted.

      Connector socket IR&KEY
Shorted pin 9(K0/S) to ground this immediately turns on screen when powered up and also ensures TV remains on indefinitely.

Have you thought of using something like this to operate the backlights

Thats a great find Mr Barton will save a lot of time reverse engineering the built in power boards and more energy efficient. I'm going to order a few.

You will need to match the unit as closely as you can to the led voltage and current.

                JBL ES-150-P standby issue
                by proditaki
                Hello,

I recently bought a faulty JBL ES-150P subwoofer that was completely dead.
After replacing 2 open resistors (R255 and R256) in the DC Power supply the unit started working.

It plays fine. But when it wants to go into standby mode, after 10 minutes, it starts cycling for a while. (see video on youtube)
The noise from the speaker goes away and i'm pretty sure the interval changes and i only hear one relay clicking on the end (light still goes red/green)

After cycling for like 30 secs to a minute it eventually goes into standby....

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
                by rounin
                Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                🛠 Original Issue
                The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

⚠️ New Problem: One USB-C Port Only Works in One Orientation...

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

Seiki SE42UMT, Standby Light, No power On
                by TheDuDe06
Hi, I have a Seiki SE42UMT that don't power on anymore.

The standby red LED will stay lit but nothing else.
I can hear a constant high pitched sound from the power supply board.

I already have replaced the power supply but the problem still persist so, we can rule out that the power supply board is good.

I also inspected visually every boards and I can't see anything that could have burnt or blown capacitors.

Here are attached few pictures of the 3 boards.

                Thank you !...
