UN55HU6830 backlight works sound works no display

so i unpluged one side of the panel this is what happens.. split screen one side works with picture, one side with just backlight, im guessing panel is bad? https://imgur.com/fquzzCQ is a picture of the screen issue

If one side works, you can look for shorted caps on the bad side or try the tape cutoff method on the bad side.
