LG 55eg910v - curved OLED - has sound but no picture

Hello all, thank you in advance for any help

I'm trying to find out what's wrong with an LG 55eg910v - curved screen OLED

- issue is that when the TV is turned on it has sound but no picture, it lights up but all you can see is some marks/ shades of the last picture it displayed on a totally black screen, no moving at all.
Also when we turn it on there is a white horizontal line that moves from top to bottom in like 3 seconds

- changing channels and the sound from every channel is reproduced fine

- I just opened the back panel and did a visual inspection all looking ok

T-com, motherboard? what is more likely?
this tv is out of warranty, LG sent some tech to check it and the guy just said it would be about 1000€ to repair, some bad panel, unfortunately I wasn't there at that time :/

Throw up some good clear straight on pictures of each board and a picture of the whole back so we can see how they are all connected, can use the go advanced then manage attachments.

Can you get the menu up?? If you can, turn off the Dynamic Contrast- Picture- Picture Mode Settings -Expert Control- Dynamic Contrast.

I have the pictures from all parts attached.
I can't really see any menu on the TV, I suppose I could try to blind navigate there, will give it a try

Ok, when you are trying to get the menu are all accessories hdmi rca etc unplugged so just the tv power cord is only thing hooked to tv?

There's an adjustment that can be made from the service menu but the service menu can be tricky to access.

Most don't have a service remote, there's an andriod app that can get in, if you can get in go to OLED>TCP Enable set it to 0 and exit.

Hi,

@nomoresonys, thank you for your help!

With only the power cord connected I cant see any menu, tv turns on backlight, on a dark room I can see the same shapes on the tv screen (just some shapes of what was displayed at some point).

I tried the app mentioned but it doesn't find the tv available to connect to on wifi
I have found that the tv is indeed connected to the usual wifi connection, an iPhone that has been paired before to the tv is able to cast youtube videos to the tv, again here the sound from the video plays fine but no picture.

I have tried to reinstall the app and no joy, tried to find another app for service but no joy also.

Maybe try the disconnect one or two ribbon cables from the tcon to panel test, one side at a time and see if you get half a proper display(always disconnect and reconnect cables with tv unplugged from power)
