    LC-52D85U Flashing (Power/OPC) (Power/OPC) (Power)

I have a Sharp that shows up no picture/audio. The power stays solid for like a minute then it relay restarts until after 3 restarts it will flash both (Power/OPC) (Power/OPC) then (OPC) before restarting the same sequence. It's dark on my work bench right now so I'm using the shopjimmy reference picture. I can have my own picture when its day light.

I took a snipet of the schematics from the service manual for the socket PD
    My measurements
    1. UR13V = 13V
    2. UR13V = 13V
    3. UR13V = 13V
    4. GND
    5. GND
    6. GND
    7. GND
    8. AC_DET = 3V
    9. PS_ON = 3V
    10. PNL_ON = 0V
    11. GND
    12. BU5V = 5V

    Bottom right of the picture
    LA
    INV12V = 12V
    SGND3 = GND
    INV60V = 60V

I couldn't attach a service manual so i left the link here.

I placed a snipet of the error codes because I'm slightly confused because the codes blink together instead of separate.

Did you look at the other threads on this model? Like this one: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ight=LC-52D85U
It could be an inverter or ccfl problem

I did, I check the inverters for the transformers. All the transformers showed 1.3K Ohms. None of them were short.

You need to count the flashes separately.

        https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=66691

1 power flash is lamp error.

          Re: LC-52D85U Flashing (Power/OPC) (Power/OPC) (Power)

I checked the service manual and for "power led 2 flash and opc 3 flash is:
          DET_5V (33pin on microprocessor) error (L). D5V or A5V is not applied.
If error is detected during operation, error standby is activated by
          polling.

Check the main board regulators, (page 81 of manual) You could be loosing 5V from ic9602

This 4 pin socket goes to the T-CON 12V pins and 2 GND pins. The 12V pins are only showing up 0.5V for both even with connector disconnected at the T-Con. Would this be an issue with the power supply? This is while the TV is already booted where the adjacent socket is showing the correct voltages.

              The PNL12V is controled by the PNL_POW line, 0v = no PNL12V

Could it be I'm having a problem with this voltage regulator? PQ30RV31 at location IC7121? Pin 2 goes to the connector PL which has PNL12. I'm getting an input of 12V going to Pin 1 for the IC. But only .5V at Pin 2. Pin 3 is GND and Pin 4 i'm only get 4V.

                    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
                    by PantherDave
                    Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

Elitebooks (820, 840 etc. all gens) and those continuously flashing Power LED + flashing CapsLock LED
                    by STKR123
As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.

As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.

There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,...

                    Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                    by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and
