    LG 55EC930V black screen

hi all, thought i would start a new thread and see if i can get this sorted.

I bought an LG 55EC930V for £50 at the weekend, i was told it was clicking and it went off, repair guy came out, hairdryered something and got it back on then fiddled with the relay and broke it.

i have replaced the relay and have done all the tests suggested in the other threads i found and am getting all the correct voltages where and when they should be there. I am certain the fault is not on the power board.

now i am stuck again and need some direction, when i press the power (tv or remote) i get a click and the lg logo glows for about 3 seconds then turns off. i have a service remote and using power only the tv comes on and stays on but i have seen no life from the panel.

is there a way to test the panel somehow? im thinking my issue is T-CON or dead panel, i would like to rule out or confirm the panel before spending any cash.

    Thanks in advance.

list over here all voltage on socket 201 & 202 when the set remain on.
also read the voltage on the T-CON F1 fuse from both side.. remember the reading of all voltage i mentioned the black probe of your DM on the TV chassis.

        how about the T-CON F1 fuse ?

BTW when you turn the set with power only.... don't turn it off with RC. just plug it out from wall socket .... the next time when you plug it in again it should by pass the last state shutdown and acting to start on and remain on..

if you reached this step andf your T-CON F1 okay read 12V on both side... plug airt mouse at any usb port and other usb drive put on its root any mp4 file. to wake up the set from deep sleep lock.. give eyes on screen always it you can see white color some where.

do the air mouse and usb mp4 file test at dark room and report the result.

moving the mouse over and make many right or left click enough to wake it up... in case its blocked.. but do it in dark room to trace any light on screen

right i an getting some light on the screen in both top corners. it doesnt meet in the middle and it is curved, not a block.
i can only see it in total darkness.

try and follow this points one by one...
1- check if you have sound

2-trace the 24 V on the screen driver ( the left site of the T-CON where the 24v pin in )

3- use yours service remote and send command ( IN_STOP ) to reset the eeprom and the main boards to factory condition

4-tray with air mouse and usb mp4 file again and again..

What does this test consist of? Is this something new?

Well maybe hairdryer it yourself see if it starts up, do the powerboard first, you might just have a faulty cap, test your diodes too if you have not yet, did you notice which board he heated?

no idea what was heated. the powerboard is fine though it was well tested. might try and heat up the T-Con board as i think thats where the problem is. wish there was a way to bypass everything just to get the screen to light up or something so i can rule out a bust panel.

did you trace down the 24V on the T-CON driver boards.. F70 from both side... also you have on the down side of the bards groups of FL need to check them too from both side ( some time one go to high resistances) not open...

yours point now the 24 volts.. would be good if you take out the T-CON out side the set.. and feed it with external 24 Volts to trace it especially the first ribbon socket ( on the left side if you look from rear side of the set ) the first groups pin are power feed you can read the voltage of them.. if you nt sure just upload photo of the board to remark them
