Samsung UN50EH5000F No Image, No Backlight, No Sound, No Standby Light

A friend brought this TV to me 'cause he knows I like to tinker. No stand and no remote control. I have taken some measurements so what would you like to see first.
I plug the TV in, no apparent activity. Push the on/off button nothing happens.
Took the back cover off, plugged in the TV and it looks like the PSU is working because there are voltages at the connector going to the Main board. When I unplug the Main board from the PSU the backlights come on but nothing else happens. Still no sound no standby light, no image.
I have already replaced the eeprom chip with the ShopJimmy repair kit for this board. Made no difference.

"When I unplug the Main board from the PSU the backlights come on but nothing else happens. Still no sound no standby light, no image."
So the power supply board self test shows that it is working, and of course the main will do nothing since there is no power to the main board when it is not connected to the power supply.
The connector of the power supply board that goes to the main board has pin names to tell us what each pin is for, so put all the connector in place then report the Voltage reading of each pin when TV is plugged in and when the power switch is activated, you MUST PUT DOWN THE PIN NAME AND FOLLOW BY THE READING FOR EACH PIN so we can easily what it has or does not have.

sounds like a bad main board to me. No stby light isn't a good sign. There are 2 possibilities. Either there is no STBY voltage going to the main IC on the main board, or that main IC is bad and you need a replacement main board.

Thanks for your reply, the following is voltage readings on connector CN803 which is the connector on the BN44-00499A PS that connects to the Main board.

        PIN # ID voltage
        1 B13V 13.06
        2 PWM_DIMM 0.084
        3 B13V 13.06
        4 B13V 13.06
        5 Vamp 13V 13.06
        6 BLU On/Off 4.96
        7 Vamp 13V 13.06
        8 GND 0
        9 GND 0
        10 GND 0
        11 B5V 5.355
        12 A5V 5.355
        13 B5V 5.355
        14 Power On/Off 3.58

Pushing the power button makes no difference. I checked the connector pins for the power button, there is 3.3v on 2 pins all the other pins are 0v

AT least pin 14 (PS-ON control signal for turning the rest of the power supplies on and off) should toggle between <1V and > 2V when toggling the power switch.
The 2 PWM_DIMM 0.084 is also bad so there will be no backlights.
At this point there is something bad going on with the main board.

Thanks budm and CapLeaker for responding.
Something bad meaning proprietary chips? Can it be fixed or should I just toss it and look for another Main Board?

                Samsung TV`s UE32J5500AK and UE48H6400AK Red Standby Light - No Picture/Sound
                by slimsoul
Hi, I'm new here and looking for some advice on how to diagnose an issue i have with 2 samsung TVs.

I have a UE32J5500AK and a UE48H6400AK both with the same issue of red light but nothing happening on the screen, the red light responds to remote or button press by flashing once but stays red. I have searched forums but most turn up a blinking red light.

I have tried replaceing the power board on the UE32J5500AK last year but this resulted in the same outcome.
The UE48H6400AK recently developed some small bright areas on the screen, then last week would not power...

Monitor Audio RSW12 - Green light, but no sound
                by MOSSEP
                Hi

Im hoping someone might be able to give me some idea of what may be wrong with my Monitor Audio RSW12 Sub.

Ive owned it since new in around 2002, so would really like to keep it running if I can, it was the first ‘decent' bit of audio equipment I ever purchased and is a little sentimental.

The issue I had was that it would power up with the red light, but sometimes the green light would not come on and I would get no bass from it. If the green light did come on though, I would get sound out of it.

I have already tried replacing all of the...

LED TV Samsung The Frame 55 inch QE55LS03RAU Standby Light only
                by ChristianBr01
                Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

un60j620dafxza - Samsung No Display Problem
                by stylishconsultant
                Hi All,

                Need help.

I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....
