i have 3 50' lg tvs here that need leds replaced, instead of buying the strips i've bought a rework station to replace the leds, what do i look for when buying replacements voltage/size wise do i just measure the ones on the strips, also i read on here somewheres but cant find the post now about somehow limiting current on the strips to stop them from blowing leds(i've already tried turning down backlight power)

Re: replacing leds on lg 50ln5750
Better to replace all strips to prevent future failures and halos when replacing the lenses. Existing leds all have wear and are likely to fail. https://techhometravel.com/lg-ln-ser...ed-backlights/Last edited by neilc6; 10-23-2019, 02:50 PM.

Re: replacing leds on lg 50ln5750
1) Measure the body dimension of the LED.
2) Measure the forward Voltage of the working LED.
3) Verify the foot print of the LED to find out which solder pad is Anode and which solder pad is Cathode.
4) Typical backlights LED will be 1 W LED.Never stop learning
