Hello. I have an 8 year old Insignia NS-46L780A12 w/ screen problem. Hoping you can tell me what it might be. The very top of the screen seems OK. Below that it has horizontal lines running across the whole screen. And in the middle it looks like the color is messed-up on some of the lines. I've taken the T-con and video boards out and cleaned them off, and wiggled all the connections. I tried to record a short video of screen. Link is below. Thx. for your help. https://youtu.be/T-AFE9FeJcU

Re: Insignia TV: horizontal lines.
Maybe try the "cutoff tape" method, might not work but won't hurt anything, just be careful not to damage ribbon cables, never force anything, the clamp on the connector usually just flips up with a fingernail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7vl7-vZEL8Last edited by nomoresonys; 09-25-2019, 08:54 AM.

by kdanielAs stated by the person I collected the TV from, it just stopped working overnight. However, I still gave it a go to try and repair it.
There is a thread on the same TV but with slightly different issues where they had to tape connection points on the ribbon cable, so I want to see if this is repairable by any chance.
After bringing it home and plugging it in, the TV turned on with its backlight working but had no picture. After removing the back cover, the first thing I tried is to unplug one of the ribbon cables and the situation is as follows.

by ggil44Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

by Stanley1843Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesnβt display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

by RunlincHi everyone, the tv was in a continuous reboot cycle. To get the best screen image i can I taped the VGH and VSS pins on the left side buffer board joining ribbon.
I am left with a good image apart from the black horizontal lines that I cannot get rid of.
I cannot find anything on the buffer boards that has shorted.
Do you think there is anything i can do to eliminate the lines, or are they caused by an internal panel short and the image cannot be impoved.
Many thanks for your assistance5 Photos - Loading...
