    LN40C630K1FXZA hit by lightning

    Surge came through the cable box/HDMI and took out IC601 HDMI switch on main board. Removed the IC to clear the short. Now TV comes on but has horizontal lines flashing in pic randomly. Does this look like it is the LCD panel? They are not stationary they move around.

    Same condition on all sources, hdmi, cable etc?

      Yes and shows over the OSD on the menu, etc.

        Try the unplug ribbon one at a time from tcon test, (do not unplug anything while tv is plugged into power) so tv unplugged-unplug one side-plug tv in power on, then repeat for other side, see what you get on screen.

          That looks like data corruption, If you can do a master reset on the tv, try that, If there is a firmware update try doing that. I suspect it is a fault with the main.
