Re: Sony KDL-40W2000 3 LED Blnks Error
I am going to check that !
in thought just measure 18v and if it was the specified voltage @ 1 terminal In de connector.
the rest would be good also

So you have all the supply voltages. 3.3V, 10.5V, 15V and 18VLeave a comment:

Re: Sony KDL-40W2000 3 LED Blnks Error
Hello , In the first place I have to thank all the people for sharing their knowledge on the subject.
I have the same problem as the OP.
I did the the voltage check by doing the Resistors trick
I used 470 ohm resistors from standby 3.3 to POWER_ON and RLY_ON
I put the 2 resistors on the single standby connector
than I measured n CN6202 18v to ground and that works.
Can someone tell me how to proceed ?Leave a comment:

Thanks for the follow-up, too bad the thread got this long due to wasted time on the power supply board, especially the IC6100.Leave a comment:

Hi all just like to thank everyone for their input and help getting this tv back up and running, replaced the Mainboard and all works fine now. I matched my replacement board up with my panel # LTY400HS-LH3.Leave a comment:

Re: Sony KDL-40W2000 3 LED Blnks Error
You need another resistor for the RLY_ON (Relay On), pin 5 (CN6200) to pin 4 (CN6202) with another 470 Ohm resistor.
Yes, you will be taking the Voltage measurement of the power supply connector since there will be no connection to the main board, we are doing the test to find out if the power supply board is OK or not.Last edited by budm; 08-16-2019, 09:49 AM.Leave a comment:

Ok, I see 2 type boards on there, make sure you match the panel # LTY400HS-LH3 and you should be alright.Leave a comment:

This MIGHT work I see the very last letter is different F vs G, don't know how knowledgeable the seller is but you could contact m and ask if they know weather it will work or not, panel number matches: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAIN-BOAR...4AAOSwUv9c0UnY

F and G may be some kind of Country code, not sure, F may be the correct one for your Country.Last edited by nomoresonys; 08-15-2019, 06:08 AM.Leave a comment:

Look for A-1196-582-G, on sticker of your board and the replacement board, this is one I see here in U.S.Last edited by nomoresonys; 08-15-2019, 06:28 AM.Leave a comment:

Usually need to match up the top letter/numbers on the white sticker of your mainboard, what is your panel number?Leave a comment:

Re: Sony KDL-40W2000 3 LED Blnks Error
Seems like we were thinking mainboard about 25 posts ago, this IS a good example of the (blink code) sometimes known as the (dummy code) being wrong, which I found out on many occasions the hard way, then we were taken on a fantasy journey involving IC6100, so looks like it's the mainboard at fault, hmm that sound familiar: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_f...0W2000&_sop=15
Do all part numbers of this need to match up or is it the Panel number that would determine this, I see 2 types of panel for this Model LTY400 and LTZ400.

Re: Sony KDL-40W2000 3 LED Blnks Error
OK, I just dealt with this myself the SONY 3 blink power supply IMMEDIATELY goes into safe mode when the main board is bad. I think he's having issues exactly the same reason I did. the big click then click and 3 blinks, its sending the power supply into safe mode and shutting it down.. when you unplug the power supply from the main board it does NOT turn on anything like most boards.. I was going crazy over this for almost a week..

by AK_777Hi everyone!
I have a Sony KD-65A1 TV with a fault – 4 red LED blinks. After disassembly and visual inspection, I found that the G76 power board and DKA board had been replaced. It is also possible that TCON was replaced, but I am not sure – there are a few marker marks that could be factory-made.
Based on assumptions, the previous service attempted to solve the issue by replacing potentially faulty components. I decided to investigate further, found a service manual, and figured out a way to power up the power supply unit autonomously and put the OLED panel and... -
by jchonHi I'm new to trying to repair TVs, but I saw a broken OLED offered for a reasonable price and thought I'd try my hand at it.
I found the service manual, which was critical to know where to probe.
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/20...1e-Series.html
With it I was able to determine that my DKA board was bad, when P_ON#1/2 gets enabled REG_12 on the DKA board collapses. I'm assuming one of the downstream regulators has a short, but I couldn't work out which rail/component and replaced the DKA board entirely.
Unfortunately the 5-blinks... -
by NicktronicHi all,
I have the subject TV and it will work normally sometimes but suddenly go black and give the 2 red blinks blink code. When this happens, I check the power supply board voltages and all I have is the Standby 3.3V and BL_ERR 2.2V. When it's working normally, all power supply board voltages look normal and stable. I've checked the backlights with a tester and they all test good. I've also read that the 2 red blinks is a faulty power supply board, so could it be throwing up an erroneous BL_ERR?
Any Sony experts out there that can help??... -
by dumbddI was using this TV for 5 years before it stopped working. I like this TV and would love to fix it myself.*
When I press the power button, the white led comes on (sony calls the module smart core) and then it switches over to 5 red blinks. No screen, no backlight, no relay click, nothing. I have disassembled the tv and found the service manual for 75x940e online. The manual suggests a faulty power board, TCON or the panel.**
The standby pin is at 3.3V. Fuses on the mainboard and TCON are fine. Caps on TCON also seem to be fine. When I turn on the tv the white led... -
by NicktronicHey guys, got this Sony that turns on momentarily and then goes black with 4 blinks of the standby light. I can't find a service manual, but best guess was the Local Dimming board based on a similar TV saying LD_ERR or BCM_ERR. I found a replacement, but it didn't work. Before I put more money into replacement boards, Im wondering if anybody has seen this issue and what worked for them, or has the service manual for this specific TV.
Thanks!... - Loading...
