Samsung LN40B500P3FXZA HDMI LOOSE, MAIN BD.QUESTION

A neighbors TV, Kids switched Dvd player, Game Console, etc. to HDMI Ports, this tv only has 2 ports that I could see. both HDMI ports are loose and inoperative. not sure if I can pull the main board and re-solder them. TV is in use and wall mounted.. this TV has Version SQ01 on the sticker on the back along with the model and serial number.

when looking at used Main boards on Ebay, I see some listed under the Samsung Model number and version SQ02 for sale, but none for version SQ01, I am not sure if they interchange and don't really want to disassemble the tv to look at the Main board part # sticker on the board itself...I think my neighbor wants to order a replacement main board so I can swap it out for him and that will fix the HDMI problem. I see ShopJimmy shows 2 different boards but they say to look at the white sticker on the board for the part number. does anyone know if there's a difference between models with versions SQ01 and SQ02 ? Thanks.

well, I guess you answered the question yourself. Either you solder some new hdmi ports to the old main board, or replace the main board. Yes, the version of the main board does matter, since it could be that the other version has a different panel, or something else.

Thinking that both those boards on shopjimmy will work, should really match sticker numbers to be sure, one has a Y and one has a K at the end but they both work.

They likely have different main boards to match different panels which may or may not be interchangeable, Look at the LVDS connectors and you will see they are slightly different

Okay, we will remove the back to access the board and get the actual part number off the Sticker to be safe. Thanks.

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                  by Asraf Atb
                  Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

Compatibility of main boards between different variations of samsung MU6100
                  by JSin21
                  Hoping someone here could possibly help. I have a few questions in regards to compatibility with main boards. But I'll give a quick short run down on what's going on first;

I have Samsung Smart TV UA65MU6100WXXY version DA01

Now years ago it started intermittently playing up after a lighting strike. Lighting hit the block of units i was living in at the time. Ever since that night the TV started having a mind of its own, It would randomly turn itself off or on, and all inputs stopped responding like HDMI, aerial, but USB still worked. Anyway, over the next few months...

Compatibility of Samsung Y Main boards LJ92-01732A no rev vs rev AA2
                  by Yanleb
Hi, I did look everywhere to know if Samsung Y Main boards LJ92-01732A without rev marking is compatible with LJ92-01732A rev AA2.

If they are not compatible why did Samsung give them the same part number to begin with?

Samsung HG75EJ690UB Hotel TV, change main?
                  by elpatxi_bcn
                  Hello!

I just got a Samsung TV model HG75EJ690UB 75" and 4K. It is a hotel TV, with a slightly different version of the Tizen operating system than the TVs at home.
Being a hotel, it is covered in many functions. With the service menu I can unlock some, but not others. For example, I can't install apps like Netflix etc...
The fact is that it seems that I can replace the main by a, say, "normal". I think the one that corresponds is NU7105, ref BN94-02635. At work, which is a convention center and a hotel, I have many TVs from 55" to 85" that...
