No display, No audio, six times blinking Standby LED on Samsung LED TV UA40D6600WRMXL

Hi, I am having problems with my samsung LED TV, MODEL:UA40D6600WRMXL. While watching the tv, distorted vertical colored lines appeared for few seconds and went away, it came back second time for few seconds and this time the TV blacked out with no audio no display. I shutdown the TV, completely disconnecting the power cord and turned it on after 15-30 minutes, but no display no audio, the red power LED blinks six times and turns off. Noticed that moving the fingers over the TV buttons on the back side, flickers the power LED but no does not show anything on the TV. Performed the flashlight test, no display is seen. Also hearing repeated "clicks" from the power supply side of the TV once turned on.

No LED backlight is seen even after disconnecting the cable to the main board. How do I check the power supply board and its voltages. Power supply board is MODEL:PD46B2N_BDY, CODE:BN44-00427C.

    Appreciated any troubleshooting help.

Test connector from mainboard to powerboard on powerboard side with all boards hooked up, test with tv plugged in but off then hit power, report both conditions here, give pin number, pin description/name and condition both off and when you hit power on. Procedure in second link below in signature if needed. meter set at 20 vdc.

Think you misunderstood, you dont disconnect cable, you just measure voltage in standby, which is tv plugged in but power off, then you hit power button, then report both readings, we're checking voltages and checking to see if some change state when power is applied.

as soon as plug the power cord in, the tv power LED blinks six times and goes goes off, not sure at this stage the TV is powered on or not. How can i know for sure if the TV is off with the power cord connected.

PIN # cable connected; cable disconnected
            2 PWM4 0v ; 0v
            4 PWM3 0v ; 0v
            6 PWM2 0v ; 0v
            8 PWM1 0v ; 0v

            10 B13V 12.78v ; 2.78v
            12 BLU 0v ; 2.98v
            14 GND 0v ; 0v
            16 GND 0v ; 0v
            18 A5V 5.34v ; 5.36v
            20 PS 3.32v ; 4.11v

Are you 100% sure that when you disconnect cable between power supply and main board you only has 2.78V on B13V? If you look at your report, you will see that PS-ON pin 20 has 4.11V whcich mean PS-ON is present so the B13V should also be present since it is present when all cables are in place and you also have PS-ON of 3.2V.
Are you also 100% sure you have 0V on all PWM pins?
We also need good clear pictures of the whole backside of the TV showing all the boards so we see what we are dealing with.

checked the voltages again with PB to MB cable disconnected, all voltages are same as previously reported except for pin B13v is 12.78v and not 2.78v.

PIN # cable connected; cable disconnected
                2 PWM4 0v; 0v
                4 PWM3 0v; 0v

                8 PWM1 0v; 0v
                10 B13V 12.78v; 12.78v
                12 BLU 0v; 2.98v
                14 GND 0v; 0v
                16 GND 0v; 0v
                18 A5V 5.34v; 5.36v
                20 PS 3.32v; 4.11v

Try heating up the powerboard with a hairdryer, see if tv comes on or anything changes, many times clicking can be a bad capacitor.

Could try unplug backlight connector, see if clicking stops, do you get the clicks with the cable from powerboard to mainboard unplugged? ALWAYS unplug tv from outlet before unhooking cables or anything then plug tv in after to avoid any bad power surges etc.

There is no clicking with power board to main board cable disconnected, for both with or without LED back-lights connectors plugged and unplugged.

Also all the capacitors look good no bulge and no leaking caps.

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died

This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Samsung 60" Plasma TV, Blinking Standby LED

A sports bar/restaurant with ~40 Samsung Plasma TVs. This is the 2nd TV that has a blinking standby LED. I'd like to learn how to repair these TVs because I'd guess that over time more and more of them will develop this symptom. My hope is to repair the bad PCB, however if that's not realistic then I'd replace the bad PCB.

                                          Model PN60F5300AF, Type PN60F5300, Model Code PN60F5300AFXZA

Upon applying power, the red standby is steady. When I tap the power button, the standby LED immediately blinks twice, then it blinks once ~ every 4 secs. Also, Upon applying power, the...

                                          Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...

                                          Hi all.

Recently joined the forum as particularly keen to thoroughly learn about SMPS's.

So, a friend asked if his 27" Samsung LED TV could be fixed.

The problem being that it would switch off after a few minutes and leave a black screen with a blinking red standby LED.

After finding one cap shorting out, all of the electrolytic caps were changed.

With the TV still laying screen down, it was switched on and left playing music and videos for some five hours or so, at which point it was decided to replace the back cover...
