SAmsung LE52A656 - panel fault or not?

Hi guy I got this samsung LE52A656 on the bench.

The fault is vertical and or horizontal blocks/lines on screen

Apparently it is intermittent and the TV sometimes works, haven't seen it myself but when I picked it up it did have a proper picture on screen with some lines/blocks in part of the screen. I have no reason to doubt the owner.

There are 4 TCON cables I tried disconnecting them in turn but couldn't get a good picture. However disconnecting each TCON in turn does affect the screen.

Here's some pics. Really I want to determine if this is a panel fault or not. Sorry the pics are not brilliant, I was on my own and couldn't hold the camera far enough from the screen as it is so large.

Panel problem. If you flex the panel, does it make any difference?

you might ask the owner who was the "window washer"... maybe... :-) probably not recoverable as it appears to be a major issue with the panel.
