On my tv Panasonic TX-PR50G20,there was a bad pay main TNPH0838.For the replacement I bought, the exact same TV with a broken screen. I took it off main TNPH0838,I put it on my TV. It started up, everything works, but on the screen there is a light vertical strip, approximately 7,5см (3inch).

Re: Panasonic TX-PR50G20 vertical bar
TNPA5081 he did not repair, sent another working fee. And instead of mine TNPH0838,sent another with 42 inch models and not working. And the master was gone, the phone does not take. I had to look for another main tnph0838.
I tried to put another C3 Buffer Board TNPA5101,The problem did not solve, the band remained.Comment

Re: Panasonic TX-PR50G20 vertical bar
This is A to C boards flat cable poorly inserted, dirty or damaged. At least in my G11 plasma the same thing hapenned, but it wasn't rainbow colored lines, just black but i still could see part of the output image between them, could be C to panel flat bad contact too.Comment

Re: Panasonic TX-PR50G20 vertical bar
Yes, it turns out he stole, replaced by non-working tnph0838.
So I bought the same TV with a broken screen. And I took tnph0838 from it.And I got a vertical bar.
On a TV with a broken screen. I found a burning address loop driver. Just in the place where I have a vertical bar. Could it damage tnph0838?Comment

Re: Panasonic TX-PR50G20 vertical bar
The tv with the cracked screen and damaged (address loop driver ic) May have also damaged the main board, So when you install it in your tv with the good screeen you will see the fault because the main board ic that drives the panel address drive ic is damaged.Comment

Tell me, can this be software damage? Eeprom firmware will not help. Only replacing ic?Comment

by stecosHi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.
Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.

I've been working on this awful project with a Panasonic FZ-55, basically I'm trying to intercept the eDP signal from the main board, and replace it with my own eDP signal connected from an lcd driver. The problem is, for some reason the 30 pin ribbon pinout is really unusual and not playing nice with my LCD controller. Long story short, I managed to fuck up my board and pull off some pads on the eDP out port, I'm hoping to find either another eDP out source somewhere else on the laptop, or figure out this goddamn pin layout so I can just replace the whole native display complex with my controller...

by cheeky2I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection... -
by Dani_2024Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...5 Photos -
by ygorsanHi everyone,
Iām looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).
š§© Problem Summary:- The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
- I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
- The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.
