LG Plasma 60PA6550-UF Pop No Picture

Y-Sustain had shorted transistors. New Y-Sustain has no picture. Removing either buffer board will show colored noise with vertical bars on either top or bottom of screen.

Buffers replaced - no change. 2nd Y-Sustain replaced - no change.

When you listen closely to the Y-Sustains operating, there is a short chirp. As if a switch mode power supply was operating with a shorted output line.

Is this a bad panel ?

Look at the Z-sus Bd. It may have some shorted FETs and/or loose coils.
