Y-Sustain had shorted transistors. New Y-Sustain has no picture. Removing either buffer board will show colored noise with vertical bars on either top or bottom of screen.
Buffers replaced - no change. 2nd Y-Sustain replaced - no change.
When you listen closely to the Y-Sustains operating, there is a short chirp. As if a switch mode power supply was operating with a shorted output line.
Is this a bad panel ?

Has anyone else seen the OP's problem ? I have a UN60EH6003FXZA that boot loops with a new T-Con installed. With the old T-Con, the set just got a blank raster. The T-Cons are known good/bad because I have another set to test in. Power Supply, and Main Boards have been swapped with no change in boot loop. Removing the LVDS cable from the T-Con will bring the set on with backlights, without the boot loop. Software updated with no change. Any ideas ? -

Check the voltages at the CRT

Then pull the CRT Board away from the Tube, and then check the voltages again. Could be a shorted Tube.

That's the one. Those resistors are good. I have a working DPS-286AP that has the same standby circuit. I have swapped the IC, opto-isolator, capacitors, and transformer. The non-working board has 1.6V where the 5V should be. Control voltage on pin 4 reads 1.1V. Should be .83V....Leave a comment:

Sharp Power Supply Repair IC7905
I'm having a problem with a Sharp Power Supply P/N DPS-485BP-1 A.
IC7905 TNY264PN and R7914 were blown. New Parts did not fix the problem. Other Sharp Power Supply Boards use these same components for the 5V Standby. Please help with a solution, schematic, or source for a replacement Board. Model Number is LC-65E77UM. Thanks. -

I just had this same problem with a Samsung UN46D6050TFXZA
Original symptoms - Sound OK, Backlight OK, No Picture, No Menu.
Also, some weird small current pulsing on the Ammeter.
I didn't scope the signal to the T-Con, because it seemed obvious, and I had a spare BN95-00497B pull on hand.
T-Con swapped - logo comes up beautiful, then picture comes up beautiful.
A few seconds later, the pic froze. Cycled TV on and off and got a blank pic with the small amount...Leave a comment:
