    Mitsubishi LT-46249 no audio help

I have a Mitsubishi LT-46249 with no sound, video is fine, that I'm runnng out of ideas with
Video is fine, no sound out of speakers ( it has 16 built in speakers )
Besides all the obvious menu setting I plugged a Bose into the audio output of the tv...no sound. Put the tv in service mode that has a output test to static the speakers one by one...no sound (neither internal speakers and Bose)
Dug up the schematic, see attached, I checked all the hots (red lines)on this drawing and can't find a bad one...V is good everywhere. The audio circuit is part of the main board if that matters
So it must be a trigger somewhere that fires the audio I'm guessing...but I suck at audio signals so I'm not sure. Any idea how this circuit works...like I said I don't think it's a “amp” problem as far as source power goes...I'm lost

Can you connect the optical output to an amp? that would eliminate most of the auidio output section of the tv.

It does seem to have a digital audio output and a digital audio input (going by the manual) and looking at the block diagram it would be the easiest way to narrow down the problem.

If you press the info button what does the display indicate (location 2)

            No headphone socket
I did...like I said if you look at that pdf I checked pretty much every red line which is the power flow

I was thinking optical but yes that is the back panel and it is rca dig out...I don’t have anything for that I don’t think, but I did plug it into the Bose input and got nothing...of course I don’t have a converter
              2 shows surround sound

If you plug the digital audio out into the analog input of an amp I believe you should at least hear digital noise. If not I would think the problem is with IC4A02 or how its configured or a software/firmware problem. If you do here digital noise, try feeding the digital out back to the digital input.

So I found a converter plugged it in and the sound works....nice
So now do I just go with the converter or try to troubleshoot the ic4a02??? Worth it or not??.
My bad on missing the dig out jack...sorry and thanks

                        Howdy everyone!

I have a SUV with a Bose audio system and I'm considering either a system upgrade, or purchasing a complete replacement system while bypassing the integrated Bose system.

On the Bose side, I have not found any specifications yet. It's a decent system but I'm, at a minimum, replacing all the factory speakers, head unit and adding an amp and two 8" subs. The Bose is a 2ohm system and I'm not certain about this point. In order to use a 4ohm set of speakers (component/loud), I would need to install 2 sets of 4ohm speakers wired in parallel to match the...

                        by i_am_patch
Hi All. I had a Roland KR-3500 Digital Piano (similar to the KR-4500) that exhibited a Crackling audio sound on all keys. After reading somewhere about someone with a similar issue who had replaced all the Electrolytic caps I decided to also go down that route. (Spoiler : It worked !) After some basic troubleshooting I determined that it could be noise feeding thru from the Keyboard scanning since the Demo tunes played back undistorted and the Audio amp / speakers were fine ( Inserted an Audio signal into the rear Audio input). After extracting the main board from the shield, I replaced 7 Capacitors...

                        by Piaskos
Hi, i've got problem with Dell Vostro 5490.
                        Board - Mantis CML 18788-1

Windows says "no audio device detected". The other functions work properly.

                        What i've done:

                        1. I checked motherboard

                        2. I changed audio codec (ALC3204)

                        3. I reflashed bios with clear ME

                        4. Audio is enable in bios

                        5. Both speakers are good

                        6. After installing the drivers from the Dell website, the devices visible in the manager:

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
                        by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Motorola Minitor V pager no audio / sound repair
                        by CapLeaker
Got a bunch of Motorola Minitor V pagers from Fire Departments here trying to fix some out of the non working ones. These pagers are known for either no sound / audio or they don’t charge. The internet is full of suggestions like metal shavings inside the speaker?
Anyway so I took one of the Minitor’s apart for my amusement in order to see why that is and nobody can fix em. There are no service manuals or schematics for these that I know of. However… I did find the problem!

On the main board of this unit where the speaker connects to there is a metal shield....
