    Panasonic faulty Buffer board.

Got a 65” P65ST50 plasma TV with a faulty buffer board, with the SC jig I can confirm SU or SD board failed, planning to buy replacement SD board for reasonable price, located one what guaranteed by the seller but with conditions. The seller claim that if the board will turn the unit on but will fail again shortly (hours/days) the display have fault in it and will voide warranty.
So after discussing this options with the owner of the unit he send me this picture what was taken just 2 days before it's stopped working.
The lover left corner have a weird glowing circle! Is this a bad plasma display or just a indication of the faulty buffer board? Should I spend time and $$ or just recycle it ?

    Re: Panasonic faulty Buffer board.

A buffer board will not cause that round defect, Thats a panel fault, the thin black line may be caused by a bad lower buffer or is a result of the panel defect but may have also damaged the lower buffer.

So you think it's not repairable!

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
        by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
        by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

        Panasonic Tx-P50G20B faulty main board
        by dgnisbet
I have a Panasonic viera plasma Tx-P50G20B which has a faulty main board. The picture freezes after about 30s and appears to lose vertical hold before finally going black. The main board part number - TNPH0838 (1) A - is common to several Panasonic tvs across a number of ranges however there is a second part number (TXN/A1LTUB for the 50") which is unique to each model.
My question is, given that the TX-P50G20B 50" differs from the TX-P46G20B 46" only in the physical size of the screen, is it possible to use the main board from the TX-P46G20B in a 50"? The secondary...
