    UE46D6200 failing mosfet Q9110

    Hi there!
I got this TV initially not turning on and flashing standby LED. Mosfet q9101 was found defective and have been replaced. After that TV normally switched on and was fully functional for about two hours, then switched off with the same flashing LED. The power supply board BN44-00458A was checked again, but no damaged elements were found. TV switched on again normally, worked again for two hours. The temperature of q9101 was not more than 40C all the time. Then it switched off again, the measured temperature of q9101 was 86C, and capacitor C9110 was 74C. Q9101 was damaged as well as Q9102. The type of q9102 can't be read due to the damaged surface, the schematics for this MPS is not available....
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance!

Can we see good clear straight shot pictures of the whole top and bottom side of the board?

Please, find the pictures of MPS from both sides. Not sure that quality is enough, can take better one in the evening.

How do you test MOSFET in laptops ?
        by Jane
I tried to use this method:

        Testing an N-channel MOSFET:

Step 1: Discharge the Gate (turn off the MOSFET)
Place the black probe (COM) on the Source (S) and the red probe on the Drain (D). The multimeter should show no continuity (high resistance or "OL" – open line).
Then, touch the black probe to the Source (S) and the red probe to the Gate (G). This discharges any stored charge in the Gate, turning the MOSFET off.

Step 2: Charge the Gate (turn on the MOSFET)
Now, place the red probe on the Gate (G) and the black probe on the

Intel DX58SO high side VRM MOSFET keeps failing
        by dougg3
        Hi there,

I have an Intel DX58SO motherboard that failed last year. One of the high side VRM MOSFETs failed shorted, and it killed my i7 980 CPU. This motherboard has a 6-phase VRM. The parts used on this motherboard's VRM are:
        • 6 x High side MOSFET: NTMFS4841NH
        • 6 x Low side MOSFET: NTMFS4834N
        • 6 x Driver: ADP3121JCPZ

It was easy to figure out where the short was, because the bad MOSFET's gate was shorted to the drain/source too. Once I removed it, all the shorts were gone on the motherboard, and I confirmed on the removed MOSFET itself that the gate/drain/source...

VGA MOSfet permanently shorted and loss of MOSfet pad
        by Nooy
Hello everyone, I recently found this badcaps site and super Learn Electronics Repair youtube channel. And I wanted to learn how to troubleshoot power supplies and VGA cards and how to practice soldering, since I already have a properly defective piece of them. I am currently trying to solve two problems:

I have a Gigabyte GV-RX460WF2OC-4GD type card. I managed to find the faulty MOSfet (AON6414A) on it, which I replaced. The card starts up, but after about half a minute, the MOSfet in the same position will be shorted again. Is it possible that the PWM controller driving the MOSfet...

HP 15-fc0007ca Charger Cycling On/Off with Hot MOSFET – Need Component Info
        by Tomylee
        Hello,
I have an HP 15-fc0007ca that works normally, but when I plug in the charger while the laptop is powered on, the charging cycles on and off repeatedly—it starts charging, stops, then starts again.

Using a thermal camera, I identified a MOSFET that is overheating, along with a small 2R2 resistor next to it that gets even hotter than the MOSFET.

I also hear a “zpzpzpzp” type noise, but the noise is not coming from the same area as the hot MOSFET. I will include a photo with the exact spot where the noise is coming from highlighted.

Help identifying mosfet on Razer Blade RZ09 (CH570_MB_NT)
        by redbaron1007
I have a Razer laptop (RZ09 MB# CH570_MB_NT) that has a shorted mosfet marked BND M03 E067 that I'm unable to find anywhere online. Does anyone either know what the part number is for this mosfet or have a schematic I can find it in?

Backstory on the whole thing the laptop was plugged into a lamp at a hotel. The lamp got unplugged while it was charging and now the system won't power on anymore. I found the caps around this mosfet shorted and when I injected voltage into the caps the mosfet got hot and my bench psu was pulling 5A. Pretty sure this is all that's wrong with the laptop...
