This Samsung un40eh5000f has blue line from bottom to top just one very thin.i pressed on tabs and cleaned strips to no avail.I think its a defect in panel at moment.Haven't ruled out t-con as i don't have replacement.For testing can you switch around cables on t-con to energize other side of panel to rule out that side?

No it is not due to a failed T-CON Bd. A failed T-CON Bd. would not give a single line alone. If you say the FFCs to the Panel were cleaned and are in good condition then yes, you do have a Panel issue. -

Thanks Andrew:I just switched cables around on t-con and confirmed that indeed the panel is defective.Yes t-con issues usually appear different than a single blue line.Too bad though ,well got some spare parts anyway keep some waste out of landfill.Comment

Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.
This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.
Disconnected the tape (main board side). Applied a small piece of tape, covering first ~4-5 pins. Powered the TV on - got picture. In negative, but that's... -

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the... -
Hi,
Just now my Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN monitor gave up on me. On cold boots I get many vertical stripes going across the screen (see the attached picture). After it runs for 1-2 minutes those go away but there are horizontal stripes going across the whole screen no matter of the input and PCs I use. (couldn't take an picture of it since the image size goes to 20MB and the camera doesn't pick them up)
In a video about a 27" monitor with an similar issue the guy removes one resistor and supposedly the entire monitor goes back to life? For sure this fix is only temporary.... -
Hi all, I tried searching the site for answers but I'm a bit over my head understanding some of what might apply and what doesn't, so please be patient with me. I used Freakaftr8's fix to remove the left driver board to restore picture to a black screen with sound Vizio E701i-A3. After doing so, I now have a large red vertical stripe down the center of the screen. The fix did require getting another t-con board from online, I ordered it before I knew about the mosfit fix for the old t-con board. I have tried cleaning the cable connections to the t-con board.
