not sure what to suggest but if a tcon is cheap i would replace it to rule it out you can always re sell it and get your money back if its not the tcon at fault but i cant see a brand new mainboard having the exact same issue.

So right now if you disconnect the LVDS cable between the main board and the T-CON board then you can turn the TV on it will stay on and get sound?
I see sparkles on the Video.

                Yes
If i unplug the ribbon either from the main board or from the T-Con the set stays on with the backlights on and sound and you can go into St/by and out off St/by no problem i think all of the remote functions would work but with no picture its hard to tell ?
But when the T-Con is re-connected it just keeps tripping or as i say keeps going off/on over and over.
Before i removed the outer frame and it was standing on its stands the picture looked a lot better. ?
I am waiting for a couple of replies from sellers about T-Con boards but as it is showing these sparkles and it only trips when the T-Con is connected i am leaning more to the T-Con being faulty?

At this point it does point to T-CON board problem.

but didn't you report earlier that with one cable disconnected on the tcon, the tv still went off and on by itself????

Yes that is correct but the T-Con was connected to the main board at that point when i reported unplugging the ribbons to the LCD panel !!
It is only when the T-Con is disconnected from the main board the TV stays on ?

Changing the T-CON won't necessarily give the expected results...!

There's a huge design flaw, or lack of redundancy, happening on T-CON board:
the power plug is nowhere to be seen (see picture 1)

Since that TV set has an history of overcharge, and the T-CON board is only powered from the ribbon connected to the mainboard, you should check first the continuity for every pin on that ribbon (most likely there are burned tracks, even short circuity tracks).
Besides visual inspection, from the rear after disconnecting the ribbon on both ends, also check continuity (with the ribbon connected at both ends) between the sockets pins on the circuit boards, i.e. socket pin 1 to X on mainboard and socket pin 1 to X on T-CON board (being X the total number of pins).

I can understand what you are saying ! and have used my magnifying glass attachment to my glasses and took a good look at the ribbon and cannot see any burn marks and i have also carried out a continuity test on the ribbon which was extremely difficult considering the poor condition of my eyes in my old age ! and have found no issues . 1have not yet been able to carry out a continuity test when then ribbon is connected to each board due to my eyes and having to shift eyes from one board to the other with a magnifying attachment.
I am hoping the replacement T-Con board will arrive tomorrow and hoping this will resolve my issue . I will post my findings when it arrives.

                                Hi All
Here is a update on this set.
The replacement T-Con board arrived today the board that i ordered was from a different model TV ie (the model number is UE46H6203AKXXU) now i know this T-Con board is out of a 46" TV and my TV is a 55" but the BN numbers are the same which is BN41-02069A I will include a picture of each board showing these numbers.
Now when i installed the replacement board the TV when plugged in came on in St/by i then powered up with the remote and the TV stayed on it did not go off/on repeatedly as with the original board. Showing me the fault was indeed with the T-Con board.
As i had not been able to take a picture of the display with the original board in due to it not staying on long enough i have played the video that i took and paused it so i could take a couple of pictures from my PC screen.

The first two pictures you will see are taken off my pc screen the second two are of the actual TV screen with the replacement board installed
And as you can see from the second two pictures the image is only in the centre of the screen and there are lines down the one side of the screen. And the first two pictures albeit taken of my pc screen show a full screen with no lines down the one side ? Does this mean that the replacement T-Con board is faulty.
Or could this mean there is a fault with the ribbon cable from the main board to the T-Con as pointed out by (megaraider).

But at least now the TV does not keep going off/on as it was before.

Now what i am asking is this showing that the replacement board is not compatible or can i rectify this in a service menu and why with this replacement board do i have these lines down the one side of the picture ?

I have double checked that the ribbons are correctly fitted. Any input would be very much appreciated.

                                  Re: Samsung UE55F6800SB

BN41-XXXX is for blank circuit board P/N, the blank board can be stuffed to make many PCBA's for many model of LCD panels.
You need to match the barcode number, not the blank board number.

If anyone knows where i can locate a T-Con for this TV i have tried looking but cannot find a perfect match to the label on my board ?
