My Sharp LC-70LE750U TV is having an issue with Horizontal Lines. I have read several post regarding the side tabs. Not sure if this would be my issue or what. I understand the T Con board would be related to Vertical Lines only and since this is Horizontal lines the issue would either be a bad LCD Panel or the side tabs. I will include images to see if someone can identify the issue. One more thing to add, the dark shadowed lines flickers in different parts of the screen. The thin colored lines sort of flicker and changes colors but normally stays in the same location across the screen

Re: Sharp LC-70LE750U Horizontal Lines
Additional info. Trying to figure out which side could be the problem if it is the side tabs. Pictures below indicate the sides I disconnected the bottom ribbon cables
Disconnected Bottom Left Side Cable (facing front), left picture is dark with lines across the whole screen. Also while video is playing, dark lines flickering randomly from top to bottom of screen. Right side of screen appears clear in background of the dark flickering lines.
Reconnected Left Cable and
Disconnected Bottom Right Side Cable (facing front), right picture is dark and lines does not go all the way to the left side of screen. No flickering of dark lines. Left side picture pretty much clean and bright image -

Re: Sharp LC-70LE750U Horizontal Lines
Might want to go through this thread. Fix could be to remove the right side drivers.

Re: Sharp LC-70LE750U Horizontal Lines
Never have done this repair personally but have gone through that thread. Dont think there is much to lose even if it is a bad panel. The lines dont go all the way across so likely the side drivers. Remove the driver boards from the bad side. Your pictures look very similar to those posted on that thread.Last edited by neilc6; 09-04-2018, 09:25 AM.Comment

Re: Sharp LC-70LE750U Horizontal Lines
Thanks to this board I was able to remove the side tabs on the right side and bring my TV back to life. Cleared all the horizontal flickering lines. Unbelievable how cutting wires on a TV makes it work.
Now to try and figure how to get a thin dotted vertical line right down the center removed. This vertical line was there before removing the side tabs. Had nothing to do with my other issue. Sometimes the vertical line is more noticeable than others depending on the darkness or lightness of the picture. Hopefully there is a fix for thisComment

Re: Sharp LC-70LE750U Horizontal Lines
If the line is unstable then check the boards especially mainboard for pieces of metal that touches under it on the solderings..
For the first fault there is a method not desctructive that works, is more complicate anyway.Last edited by Davi.p; 09-05-2018, 02:47 PM.Comment

by jaco2dThis is only my seond post and so far i am very impressed with the forums.
I have a Sharp 50bj2ke which is 6 month out of gaurantee and has devoloped horizontal lines, i have tried to research as much as possible but i am no further is diagnosing the issue. When i turn the tv on it works good with only a thin line right at the top of the screen which i could live with but after a couple hours of use the lines start to appear in the middle of the screen and now the bottom.
The small white box thing in the pics is not the tv its a reflection from the window
Any suggestions... -
by ggil44Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

by RozpHello Everyone,
This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.
I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area.... -
by x_orange90_xI just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.
I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying... -
by RubenlilyHello,
First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:
I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.
I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.
I'm no expert but I've done the tape... - Loading...
