    You need to find out if the big solder pad is Anode or Cathode, it is important for heatsinking of the LED.

    i think they are 3v because when i powered on the board only 3 lights out of 8 lit up and it showed like 8.8v...and then shut off..i would imagine the voltage is variable ? so if the other lights were good the voltage would have been 24v or so?

    other question is some led tvs have leds in the hundreds..i would iimagine these are lower voltage leds? i cant imagine them being 3v if there are hundreds of them....dont think you would have 300v going to led strip??? or am i wrong?

    i guess if i shoot 3v into them and they dont light up but with 6v they do then they would be 6v

    Yes shipping is free on AliExpress unless you want Expedited.
    I recommend measuring the ones you have.

    Yes those 3 are common, you will see the last link is the 6v.
    Voltages are not size dependant.
    As for the warmth, I can usually tell by eye when I light up the panel with my backlight tester, I find if it's a blueish tint it's cool white & if white light it's warm.

    You should really invest in a backlight tester;

    This is the best one;

    Thank you...yes they r super cheap...so you recommend those 3 sizes?

    Not sure what i have ..but ill look on ebay for those

    Aliexpress shipping costs too high to usa

    What about voltages?

    Are the smaller ones 3v and the parger ones 6v?

    Have you got a pic of the LED? it's difficult to see from your pictures.
    Do you have a backlight tester to check the voltage of the LED diode or strip divided by number of LED's?
    You will need to know the voltage.

    To find the correct LED you will need to measure as accurately as possible the width & length ie; 2.8mm x 2.8mm would be a (2828) type, or 2.8m x 3.5mm would be (2835) type so on & so forth.

    Secondly check the bottom pads against the ones you are buying they should be identical.

    Thirdly the top of the LED will have some variation but match as close as possible to the ones you have.

    Here are some examples of ones I purchase, they are very cheap so I usually buy a variety to keep in stock.

    With the snapped strip I would scratch some of the coating off & jumper together with wire.

    Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?

    I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

    Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

    I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

    The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

    With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

    Samsung UN55H8000AF - No Picture, Working Backlight, Replaced T-Con Board
    by ermals
    Hi all!
    I've recently run into an issue with my Samsung UN55H8000AF LED TV displaying no image. I've done quite a bit of research in terms of what could be wrong with it. Below are the steps I've taken prior to reaching out here for some assistance:

    1. I've tried replacing the T-Con board (BN95-01594A), twice and have still experienced the same issue with all the boards I've tested with.
    2. I've tried to remove one side of the ribbon cable that goes from the T-Con board to the panel and still not getting any image on left or right side.
    3. I've checked voltages...

    Problem

    This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....
