    Re: General CCFL inverter question

Have a read through the following thread which may prove useful. The fact that you say with the last two tubes removed the remainder light up makes me think you have an error signal being produced around the last transformer stage that drive the last two tubes.
You have already changed the transformer so it would be worth checking the mosfets that drive it.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

I was looking at your inverter picture and compaired it to shopjimmy's and I could not see the two resistors R312 and R314 on your board, are they there or is it just the lighting in the photo?

        Re: General CCFL inverter question

It seems to have been a dry joint on one of the resistors around the smaller transformer. When i started soldering around there one of the resistors came loose as soon as i applied some heat. The inverter is working for now but only time will tell if this was the fix.
In a few days time i will report back.
Thanks for your assistance so far.

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
              by ttmi100x
              Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

              Upon closer inspection...

Help on Samsung Syncmaster T220 dead ccfl lamp
              by mikey5791
              Hi,

This monitor previously is my main working monitor which i have been using for 8~9 years. Yesterday, when i switched on my pc from fresh to power on, the monitor is just black no display. I started dismantle to look inside the monitor power board but nothing looks suspicious or burnt. So i took my external ccfl inverter to try to power the monitor ccfl lamps which consisted of 2 lamps on upper part and 2 lamps on the lower part.

Found out the upper ccfl lamp which is supposed to connect to cn304 on the power board did not light up. Then i installed a used working...

Epson 5040UB Projector No Lamp Strike Stuck in Startup - Blinking Status/Lamp Lights
              by vestaviascott
Hoping someone here can put me on the right track. I'm trying to troubleshoot/flowchart the "internal projector error" on my newly acquired Facebook Marketplace bought Epson 5040UB projector (3LED, not DLP). Owner said it needed new lamp, actually error code blink pattern indicates "Internal Projector Error, call Epson support". Unit is out of warranty as of 8/19

              Here's what happens:

              1) Power on
              2) Blue power indicator lights and the lens cover motor opens the lens cover, light fan noise heard
              3) Blue status light flashes for appx 4 minutes...

              APSINT3636VR 3600W APS INT Series 36V DC 230V AC Inverter/Charger schematic
              by Gentian
I have a tripp-lite aspint 3636vr inverter charger which blow some of mosfet transistors. I replaced them repaired also the driver circuit and tested but the mosfets burn again.

It work very well as inverter and also as charger if I let the rear switch in auto mode (inverter) and charger only(charging) but in auto when I connect the feed line 220V AC first time it pass ok to line and start charging the batteries but when I remove the feed line it pass to inverter mode and if I do it again the second time when passing from charging to inverter the Main transformer start making a...

Insignia NS-LCD19-09 (PS OK, Inverter problem?)
              by valvashon
For some reason I'm just not going to let this 19" TV defeat me. I guess because I have a schematic to work from I feel like I'm oh so close.

History- while adding a turn-on circuit I let a small screw roll under the power board. Worked through all of that circuitry, probably replacing a MOSFET and PWM controller that were not bad but I was following the service manual. Finally figured out that the power supply is in working order when the inverter section (for the backlights) is disconnected. When the +12 supply to the inverter is disconnected the +12 and +5 will come up...
