    Sony KLV-32 ex-500 Horizontal Flicker/discoloration

Sony LCD TV has horizontal flicker/discoloration stripes/bands across the screen (see pictures in the link).

I have disconnected the TV from all inputs and opened images from USB Pen Drive. But the flicker and discoloration still exists.

The OSD onscreen text and symbols are clear and discoloration free. There is a slight flicker in the text if we watch it very closely but at 2-3 feet and beyond it is not notice-able. The OSD being clear and proper colored can I assume that the LCD panel is OK and there is some issue with the other electronics.

Is the discoloration due to bad Power board or Tcon board or the main AV board.?.

Usually what causes such horizontal flicker and discoloration?

Thanks a lot for your time in going through this thread.

Look at everything at the left and right sides of the Panel edges, using a magnifying glass. See if there is any discoloration or dirty spot/s formed inside the glass edge/s.

      SONY KD-65XE7002 Screen Flicker

This isn't my video but it's a fair representation of the fault I have, starts with slight screen flicker as the set warms up which happens every 5 seconds or so that gets more regular until more or less constant https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un8cAjUtOvA was thinking T-Con but open to any other ideas as seems to be quite a common fault on these

Samsung flicker - BN44-00932T board or else?
      by fixit007
I picked up this TV that the prior owner said - just died.

Tested the fuse - burnt. A dead capacitor is visible too on the hot side (CP801). Got the replacement power board (cheaply - used). Replaced the board - the TV turned ON!

Now, about a month later (yesterday) I noticed the left side of the screen was flickering from time to time. That was already happening with the antenna input, not through HDMI.

Also, some glitchiness with a Fire stick on HDMI3 - I hit an app with quick dark screen in stick, the TV goes - no input. Then I had to choose the stick...

Sony KDL-50W685A horizontal black lines Pattern
      by Raulnn
good morning! I have a problem with this Sony. The image has a pattern of black horizontal lines, I attach a photo of the lines. The power supply is external and emits a sound. I don't think it's because of that. Let's see if someone can help me.

Sony XBR65X900H TV with Horizontal Lines right half of screen
      by dvu0627
I have a Sony Smart TV XBR65X900H that started to have horizontal lines on the right side of the screen (see attached picture). When I played video on Youtube green horizontal line at regular intervals(1/4") across the screen.
I replaced the T-Con board but the lines are still there.
I believe this issue is from the Main Board. Before I replace the Main board, I wanted to seek advise if this is the problem from the Main board or something else?
      Thank you for the help....

Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen
      by ggil44
Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
