    LG 32LC52 no picture

Good day folks. I need a bit of help with this LG TV which may have multiple issues. When the chap first brought it in, I could see the backlight turning on and the TV appeared to be on, but there was nothing on screen. A while back, I managed to fix an older Samsung which had the same issue by replacing a dead regulator on the t-con board, so I hoped this one had the same issue. There was a slight change of plans however when the next day I plugged it in again and the green light just kept flashing - no other reaction. I took the cover off and immediately noticed a lot of bulging caps. Replaced them and of course, still nothing: it went back to that state where it powers up quickly, the green light stays solid, but there's nothing on screen.

At this point I wasn't sure whether it's the T-con, the main board or the PSU itself which still had a problem, since all of them had something unconvincing about them, as follows:
-the 3.4v rail on the PSU doesn't come on....after a bit of fiddling, I connected the 5Vsb rail to the 3.4v ON pin on the connector and now I got 3.4v where it should go, so let's assume the PSU is fine for now.
-this bring us to why the main board is not sending that 3.4v ON signal by itself and required me to manually jump it
-even with 3.4v now present, there was still no picture. I even applied 3.4v from an external supply and the same thing happened.
-the T-con board seems fine, except for one thing I noticed: that 1.8v test point I pictured up close only reads 1.5v which upon closer inspection seems to be coming from the LDO directly next to it. The datasheet for it, confirms it's a 1.5v regulator, so that's most likely fine.
All things considered, I'm leaning towards a faulty main board: it doesn't send any signal to the t-con board (no scope to check this sadly), but combined with the lack of 3.4v I ASSUME that is it. There is a green light coming on near the connector in the top-left (D800 on page 36 of the schematic I posted), but that's about it....it's an EAX32572506. Pictures are pretty piss-poor, I know. Cheers and thanks

the caps you changed related to 12V or 19V ? in case the 19V then you need to determine the sound level IC. its Main board, PS ON Okay.i would check first soldering on MB as there was load before you replaced caps on PSU

I reckon they weren't on the 19v bus. They were on 12 and 5v. Thing is, I tried following along with the schematic a bit closer in the "power" section towards the bottom and all the voltages seem to be within spec...

I had one of these to repair in 2016. What I thought was a backlight problem turned out to be a T-CON Bd. problem. I spent some money and time converting this TV to LED backlights, only to finally discover a bad T-CON Bd. Since a replacement board was accessible I just replaced the T-CON Bd. and the TV worked. The owner did not want to pay for the LEDs and the T-CON and told me to keep the TV as he would buy anew one. Well I eventually sold the TV to recover my monies and so far as I know it is still working.

Oh don't mind that - it's just a wire I soldered to the 3.4v terminal on the bottom of the PSU to apply external power. I removed it after discovering the PSU works.

Don't have a replacement T-con on hand sadly, though I'll look one up on an auction site and might even get one if it's not terribly expensive - good to have around for testing purposes...yeah, come to think of it, just because the voltages are in spec doesn't mean the T-con operates properly. VGH and VGL appear OK too BTW.

I also noticed this connector going from the power board to the T-con....what do you supposed this is. Is the T-con controlling something on the power supply ? Select and Sync...what could those relate to ? I've never encountered them...

I got myself a replacement T-con today...unfortunately no, it still doesn't work, so I hold my opinion that the MB is dead, despite the chap claiming it's got sound

                  Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

                  🧩 Problem Summary:
                  • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
                  • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
                  • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
                  by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

My Oled Tv is 55inch tv, 3 days ago I notice that middle of the screen is getting warmer and on picture I have ghosting, missing red color. Color red was still displaying, but it was not so strong as corners of the screen and watching some movies makes me angry.
Then I get an idea to take it apart and clean boards from dust.
In side of Tv was not so bad, I take compressed air in can, and gently blow up.

Also I was thinking to styrofoam sponge to isolate power board from screen that the middle of the screen will not worm so much. Because Led on screen when gets higher...

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                  by Asraf Atb
                  Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....
